My shirt is too. It seems like the top two botton are not there. Weird huh? Mine had his collar up on the white shirt too when I opened him. I had to get it under the top of the jacket. Looks okay now.
Thanks guys for your kind words about my pictures. I'm not the best photographer, but I try. I wanted to get him into some sand today, and luckily I got to do that.
I was really not expecting these to be such high-maintenance figures (especially for the price).

They got the eye coloring right too.
I have to say, as much as everyone seems to love the new sculpting technique, I find it a bit toyish at times unless the figure has a very baby-smooth, even skin tone. I think I prefer the old style paintwork to molding the skin tone. I really have to see this guy in daylight to know for sure. But again, in hand and at a distance, it looks fine.

Same with mine, exactly. That is weird. But clearly the cut is deliberate... so getting a new shirt is futile.
I'm sure I can get the shirt to work, but it's a dangerous cut -- gonna tear with a lot of switching out clothes and futzing. Dumb tailoring choice there, or rather bad execution.

That is the same cut I have at the top of my Indy's shirt too! VERY disappointing. I agee that these shouldn't be high maintenance...out of the box!? Man, this makes me want to return it. That and the floppy "rag doll" body from the torso up. But, I wonder if I get a second one with the same problems?
Could this cut be somehow intentional to help the shirt stay open and look right?

That cut in the shirt is disappointing, Greg. I also think I'm going to go bonkers with the loose joints. Indy is a character you'll want to pose differently every day.

Don't bother sending it back, obviously that is the way its supposed to work. Just bad execution of the tailoring I suppose.
And Irish, don't freak yet. The figure has many pluses... but the disappointments do jump out for me because I was hoping for so much.
Anyway, if I can help lower your expectations then the happier you'll be.
Wait for my FUTZED pics tomorrow before passing judgement. I think this figure will be quite nice when all the odd parts are dealt with.

Isn't it possible to dab superglue in the joints to make them tighter? Heard that somewhere. I guess going TT is best choice... but then the shoes won't fit...
Sorry Trev, I wish I had a better report on my first impressions. But the sculpt is awesome!
The cut is clearly supposed to be that way since all 4 of us have it.
Again, other than these shocking surprises... I think the figure will be quite nice with some work.
It's still the best Indy out there!

I just checked all the pics I saved from the Asian release pics, and the shirt cut is there in all of them too...
