I just checked all the pics I saved from the Asian release pics, and the shirt cut is there in all of them too...

So the cut shirt is deliberate. Don't be shocked when you see it guys.

Thanks, Bro. But you can be shocked when your figure flops around with loose joints. Again, any quick fix suggestions?

I'm really thinking it might be to help the shirt stay open more when it's buttoned up, maybe the location of the button would keep it too closed looking if the cut weren't there?

Looking forward to getting him as in hand it's always the "opening the christmas toy" thing but it does sound disappointing there's so many issues with such an anticipated figure and delayed figure. We should NOT HAVE TO SWITCH OUT TO A TRUE TYPE BODY!! I know it's their first production on this body but it's also INDIANA JONES we're dealing with. One of their most anticipated figures and turns up with a loose body? C'mon SS!

In theory, maybe that was the plan. But I see no function for it. And it's only a problem with wear.

Some seem to be cut more than others.

The shirt is still useable and can be positioned so you don't see that cut.

My pic is to show it clearly in case I got a defective Indy.

And Irish.... take that gun out of your mouth and relax. It's still a solid figure. Just a few more problems than I'm used to straight-from-the-box. All fixable though without having to roll the dice on another figure. I'm even willing to touch up the brim of my hat myself (got to de-shine it anyway).

Vader's gonna be a problem on this body.

While Vader's on the armor body, that one's not too impressive on joint quality either. That's been the only issue really with all 3 new bodies, the joint quality, everything else's been fine.

Oh don't get me wrong. Overall this Indy is incredible! The best one I've ever seen and owned in the 1:6 scale. I'm happy to finally have it in hand. The minor problems can be worked out. I don't know if I'll get a HT body or not. I just wish the joints were much tighter, and didn't start out so loose out of the box.

Can you imagine when Vader comes out? Considering that SS now can't even make a proper figure stand? :lol

You know how many shelf-dives that big *******'s going to do?:lol

Really sucks to hear that the body is floppy... really a bad move on Sideshow's part not to get kinks worked out of the production body. I'm not surprised, but I'm still disappointed.

The shirt is an oddity, but I'm guessing it is that way to allow it to be open... but still very strange. On the positive side the close-ups of the sculpt (thanks WG) look fantastic and the clothing does look good.

Mine is set for deliver on the 24th, sadly I'll be out of town so I won't get to see Indy until sometime after I return on December 6th?!? :monkey2

It's nice to finally see more photos popping up here!

As nice as it is though, it is starting to leave me feeling a bit concerned and apprehensive about this figure. Mine arrives on Monday, so I won't be able to form my own opinion until then. It's a shame that it sounds as though he'll need some work, but I guess I'll have to wait and see. At least if he does need work, it doesn't sound like it should be too intensive.

Well, I canceled my exclusive. I think I'll probably get the regular, but I've kind of been on the edge about this figure recently and all of these revelations are definitely not helping. I just hope they get the PF right! :monkey4

Again, with proper futzing, this figure will be very solid (maybe not literally if he keeps flopping).

I forgot to mention that the jacket's the right color too. The jacket really does look nice, I just hope can get it to fall better. In fact, everything seen below looks great.

Just need to futz and pose. Tweak the jacket. Pull those pants down to his hips. Adjust the shirt. Stuff I would do anyway.

Just got to get passed the initial 'shock' problems.

I was on the edge recently too, but I decided to hold on after some of those great shots from earlier in this thread started to emerge. Those shots convinced me to keep this figure, so I'm hoping that once in hand I'll see the same quality figure depicted in those earlier images. I'm sure I will (hopefully).

Have anyone contacted S.S. yet to address the issue? Sounds to big to ignore, maybe they can send replacement bodies with tighter joints....... Hey is it possible to tighten these joints on our own? I remember some was able to do it on a medicom body by tightening the screws all around the body?
