Sideshow Darth Maul Sixth Scale Figure

I thought about getting this... But idk, I don't have much experience with SSC's figures, started out high with HTs.

I can't understand why this guy is so expensive... With that price he should come with light up sabers and the full cloak like everyone has said.

It's a good looking sculpt but I've heard SSC's quality drops when it goes into production.

Unfortunately I'll have to wait for in hand pics to decide on this one.

I really want Darth Maul but I'm passing in hope HT will make him. You just know the HT version will eclipse this. Admittedly I haven't bought a SS figure in quite some time now but the ones I did just weren't up to HT quality at the time

Idk if HT will tackle the PT since HTs are the official distributers in Asia. I doubt they'll over saturate the market but who knows.

That's the only reason why I wanna order since I can't see HTs making one in the near future.

I think so. it's not just Maul but very specifically Naboo Maul so a Tatooine version should happen sometime.

Yeah, it'll be another $240 (or more) to get the same thing with black robes.

I would totally buy this... if HT made it instead But yeah, there's only a tiny handful of characters I would buy from the PT/CW, and Maul is one of them. Given the friendly relationship between HT and SSC, I doubt we'll get a HT Maul for a long long while, if ever.

I'm tempted but just picked up SSC new batman 1/6.....legs so loose he does the splits under his own weight. totally unacceptable for $200 and its not the only SSC figure i have had issues with. Its almost par for the course with SSC and I fear this Maul will be no different.

I've tried to buy customized Sideshow + Medicom Maul from zzeena87 (as I understood it was made by jedijim3002), but I failed and tried to make my own, haha. Just finished cold cathode dual lightsaber and wanted to share some photos. My Maul is not finished yet: he has no clothes and arms are not painted yet. I've made extra lightsaber inspired by Inquisitor from "Rebels" sword. It can turn likein cartoon,but doesn't light up.. Sorry for photos quality, the're from my phone

this is such a rip off. not sure where they get their market analysis from. but this is not what we expect for the money spent. makes it real easy to pass between bad production sculpts for human, bad bodies and now lack of basics like stands? this company is now SS Minnow and its about to crash into HT island.

Is there any new info about this figure? About some stand maybe, and a robe? I really like the sculpt, but even with that the price is horendous.

Stands are easily accessible, no biggie for me. No robe though, thats a bit of a deal breaker. Someone like Meis or Lforeigno could make a killing here though.

If they're smart, they'll at least throw in generic stands for the new Darth Maul and Vader releases.

And for the price they're charging for Maul, they really need to go back and update the cloak from 2006. That thing is ten years old for ****s sake.

I love that figure to death, but I would prefer NOT to use something that old, with thicker material, on a new age figure, with better tailoring and fabric. It's just gonna look like the same damn figure with a new head, if you use the "hologram" pose like I do.

I really hope the boots are soft goods. If ever there was a figure screaming for ankle articulation, this is it. I can't tell from any of the promotional materials whether or not the saber and outfit look any better. And also: no cloak or stand? At $230? I don't know. I'd love to add him to the display but there just isn't much there.

It'll be an absolute disgrace if they dont announce a "special update" where a new robe will now be included. Imagine just the goodwill in their customer base that would generate for actually listening to fans (which apparently people tell me they do, but of which I havent seen any real evidence). Here's hoping this is one case where they do actually listen.

Even if they wound up including a stand it wouldn't surprise me if its one of the generic black hexagon stands. Better than nothing but they're really pretty cheap looking for how much they're charging now. At least my Scout Trooper has the environment pieces that go with it, the one for 3PO is disappointing though.

The cloak should be included with this too I agree. It comes off lazy and cheating people out of it to not include it if you ask me for the price and considering how bare bones the figure is. Considering its part of his outfit that he wore a good chunk of the film.

Once parted out, just buy the headsculpt. No need to pay $240 plus $20 shipping. The robes aren't that much of an upgrade.
