That said... I really can't wait for SDCC!! It's already become my fav time of the year despite never being able to go! Hahaha (Sad... I know)

Kinda wished Hot Toys would take this on rather than Sideshow but it will do. Picked up DX07 so this will go along with it perfectly.

I heard that Sideshow is maintaining the costumed characters while Hot Toys is focusing on figures with head sculpts. Is that true?

Nope, Hot Toys can only make figures that Sideshow already produced. But, the limit of only making figures with head sculpts might be correct. Not sure about that one.

Nope, the headsculpt thing is pure fanboy dreams.

The only limitations are that they can only do figures sideshow has ALREADY released, or has no intention of Doing ANY time soon.

It is also believed that sideshow holds "veto" power over any release Hot toys wants to do, to cover " secret releases" they might have planed. ( Think SDCC, or SWC exclusives)

Christmas time would be nice. But I'm guessing 1st Q or early 2nd Q '14. Sometimes(?) it takes a year after it's pre-order.
