i hope the boots will have a wee bit of ankle articulation (though doubtful).

Hot Toys licenses multiple franchises through Sideshow, so it may not even have anything to do with their desires, but then again, they do seem somewhat backed up producing Iron Man products.

NO sideshow needs to let hot toys release a dx vader or any vader sometime. But besides that i want a ton more original stormtroopers.

After 57 Iron Man figures HT still hasn't gotten his helmet exactly right so I wouldn't assume that their Vader would be an better than Sideshow's at this point.

Then should maybe work together on a vader that would be flawless.

I like this pic a lot...
Looks like the dome has been corrected and I am happy! Though cautious since other shots looks a bit funky...
I hope we don't have to wait a year to get this guy...

Was anyone else expecting the base to light up WHITE (as in ESB) rather than red?

That is odd... guess the Bespin idea is as good as any, but I'd prefer it to be white.

This figure also includes a lot more, and has the light up features. The first Vader didn't come with half the accessories this figure does.

It does come with more and the light up feature is certainly adding. But $250 is such a dramatic jump over any of their previous offerings that I'm really surprised. I figured $225 would be the absolute ceiling on this.

Personally they could drop the Deluxe features (light up base, light up chestbox and belt and extra head stand) and I'd be a happier camper at $200.

i hope the boots will have a wee bit of ankle articulation (though doubtful).

I think it does... from one of the hi-res pics it looked like there was a separation between the foot and shin armor. Not to mention both the Padawan Kenobi and Snowtrooper featured 2-part boots.

Yeah. I doubt I will use the light-up stand and I know I won't use the chest box/belt lights... Oh well.

Does look like the two full helmets might still be the case... in most of the shots it doesn't look like the extra rivets on the back of the neck are present. Which I hope is the case... a short coming of the 1:1 bust is that from certain angles you can see those details (and circuits on the mask) which you never saw unless the mask was removed since I don't think they were present on the main mask used for filming.

I am pretty sure we get the a) The Full Helmet b) Neck Piece and Shaw Sculpt and C) Face Mask and Dome.
