Nope. Vader was 100% in house. Not sure why the 1,000 clone variations stopped carrying the HT logo, but I am pretty sure Vader is one figure that HT would make sure they get credit for...

Or I'm just a big bad troll.

I honestly can't remember one way or the other if HT helped with the Vader body but for all intents and purposes this figure will be a SS release, of course...

Marc is a troll.

And I admit I could be wrong about Vader having the HT logo on the box, but his body is basically an upscaled version of the Amored one which was developed with HT. So maybe they did the upscaling on their own so no credit need be given to HT, but its still the same pedigree.

would it be too much to ask if we could get sideshow/hot toys:wink1: to make vader be able to kneel like GG's??

or a possible tebow?.........:monkey1

This is likely another specially developed Vader body, and I believe HT's part was helping lay the groud work for Sideshow's new bodies but at this point Sideshow is self sufficient with them.

Sigh..... Well GB I invite you to do more homework. If you look back through sideshow's statements about Vader, they were very pointed about ANH Vader being 100% in house. Also you'll notice on Vader's specs:

Do you see Hot Toys mentioned anywhere there? No? Neither do I. You can speculate, masturbate, irritate all you want. But there is your answer.

That would be a cool pose option, but I'd be worried about having a totally stretched out knee when I was done with him.

But how cool would it be if this Vader came with that disc as a stand :rock :rock

Ah-ha, but if you look at the clones (who we know bear a HT logo) they have the same information listed... so you prove nothing with your post :lecture

There is not a trace of HT credit on Vader. You can't compare that to the umpteenth clone. The absence of evidence is not evidence. :lol

I believe Sideshow only ever said that Hot Toys helped them produce the new bodies and nothing more. Sideshow seems quite able to make armor on their own as well as droids.

From Rex:

Wheres the logo? Most of my clone boxes are in storage, but I have two here and can't find a HT logo on either.

Um nope. "The Sideshow Collectibles Design and Development Team" developed Vader. From the ground up. That's not absence of evidence. That's just plain in-your-face evidence. :nana:

They're on the bottom of the box... but sadly I just found an eBay image of the bottom of Vader's box and there is no HT logo :cuss

From a 501st box:

However, I still say the fact that Vader's body is an upscaled version of the armored body (that HT collaborated on) makes the ANH Vader just a smidge HT :lecture :lol :lol
