BTW, I wonder when Hot Toys stopped being listed... I found them listed for the first Clone Trooper and Stormtrooper, but for more recent ones no listing.

I know the new base body is tighter (although an identical design) maybe after tweaking it they dropped HT? Now I'm just genuinely curious about this.

Way to go on that (non-existant) semantic. :hi5:

Hey man, one drop is all it takes :lecture

But in all honesty if you developed product #1 with someone and then they increased the size of the product by 25% to make product #2. Would you not feel that you still had some involvement in the development of product #2 :huh

That's kind of what I figured. The body HT helped them with was floppy. SSC tweaked the design further and took the appropriate action on credits.

Well I asked Sideshow on facebook for (another) definitive answer to this. Only thing is, with the clone they took credit on the first few. It may have been an agreement (as far as sales residuals) that after X number of clones they would cease to get a cut.

Per Vader, neither HT's company name nor logo has EVER been associated with it. Not that ANH version nor the ESB/ROTJ version. Anything else on anyone's part to implicate that HT had anything to do with Vader's development is pure speculation. You can't get out from under that.

Now I have a pile of crappy work to do that should have been done 2 hours ago.

Damn you Alex Logan. :cuss

Crap... I just wasted 3 minutes of my life reading a Pixletwin v Galactiboy verbal boxing match and my quality of life is no better because of it. :(

well you didn't read cosely enough flosi. these two demonstrated that a disagreement can be settled or discussed without personal insults along with typical childish behavior that is so associated within this forum. they should be held in the highest regard and looked upon as role models............:lecture

if you can't see that then you are just a big dummy that smells funny...........:pfft:

Ok. Here y'all go. From Sideshow's facebook:

pixletwin: Quick question: Did Hot Toys have anything to do with the development of Sideshow's ANH Darth Vader or the upcoming ESB/ROTJ Vader?

Sideshow: No they did not

In your faces. :rock :rock :rock :rock

:lol

I did as a clarifying question on the FB page... just curious what the response is given the design of the body. But, for the record I know that everything else (aside from the bodies) on the armored figures has been Sideshow and they've really done a great job on them.

I don't have a lot of love for the PT, but I've invested quite a bit in their Clones :lol

As has been pointed out HT helped with the initial clone body but never had input on Vader. Other than that all clones and Vader have been all SS. I thought this was all common knowledge.
