@D.Martin. Is this whole 'baggy pants, baggy crotch' a futzing thing, or something else?

Getting tired of hearing about it.

Beyond positioning the chest box and belt, there is 100% no real futzing done to that figure. the 'baggy crotch' is the articulation points on the figure, so a bit of padding would solve that.

All the other 'baggy' jumpsuit complains make no sense because the costume is only baggy in the crotch. It's form-fitting everywhere else.

D. Martin, I am considering just buying the chest armor, tunic, cape, and helmet to upgrade my ANH figure. Do you think the cape and tunic will fit in Sideshow's ANH Vader stock body or is too bulky and/or tall?

They fit, but aren't tailored to that figure. IMO, it didn't look great as a swap out.

So how would i go about padding his crotch? Can you just pull his pants down some?

Looking at Optibotimus' review, the pants bunch up at the crotch, because the boots push the extra material up (as he mentioned and demonstrated in the video). So if you fastened the pant cuffs to the ankles of the body, with rubber bands, Top Stick, etc. and then slid the boots on. . . it should alleviate that problem.

Plus a pair of those thigh muscles to bulk him up.

Maybe a little padding elsewhere under the suit, and then the only issue is height.

With Hot Toy Luke at 11.5" (which seems correct), Vader should be 13.5".

I'm guessing from the comparison photo that the new Vader is 14" as he looks slightly smaller than the ANH.

So possibly just half an inch too tall. Hopefully not enough to have to worry about getting a KP02, though they are going to be offered by Kaustic again soon.

D. Martin, do you happen to have a picture of this vader standing next to a Hot Toys Luke? I want to see how bad exactly the size difference is before I bite the bullet..

So what's everyone with the Medicom one thinking?

Wanted some shots for size, but I had the wrong settings. So it's a bit fuzzy dark.

But this is how I show them off.

Light up sabre is cool, but broke. Wired cape is awesome, but he's on the Fett stand. And his voice is pretty amusing when I take him out. He's also got the helmet off feature, and the chopped hand. Otherwise I can't see anything that really makes me want to get another Vader for $70 more. Not unless I get him with a few more snowies or to fight Luke or something. Having said that, I haven't cancelled Malgus, nor snow Fett either, but I am still thinking about this one...:cuckoo:
I should be looking at Batman instead.

Oh, and that first pic ain't Medicom.

yeah devil, spot on. They're also pretty neat.
Need stormtroopers.

:slap:slap:slap Wow, you just improved him tenfold! Shows ya how much I care about those little details.

If it weren't for the helmet, the tomy figure is actually quite nice...ironic they didn't get the helmet right, but they got all the subtleties of the chest armour (even tho it's the tour version)
