Nice pose. Really getting impatient here!

I do hope they get around to shipping it tomorrow. Will be a long weekend wait if not.

You couldn't be more right about that long weekend. Already had to do it last weekend but only to find out to wait longer.

I was reading up in the Cobra Commander thread and noticed how his height in this pic totally makes Vader's height issue go away.

Has Sideshow been slowly scaling up their ⅙ figures? So the older stormtroopers now look too short but newer figures will scale nicely to him?

People may be in for one hell of a surprise when those Hoth figures start shipping… ;)

That's a lot of history to undo with this new release, especially considering their releases over the past year.

Sideshow and Hot Toys has simply listened to it's customers.

Out of scale is perfect as long as it's bigger. Smaller = Medicom puke. :lol

Ok, I think I'm done finding a pose, I'm not a big fan of dramatic stances but I might try one at a later stags when I work out a scene to setup. Do here's more of vader for now in a strut pose. I've ended up redressing him as a few things where starting to move with all the posing I'd been doing.

Cool pics! :rock

Goddamn does that look great.

Vader will finally be here Tuesday. I also had to send Malgus back to BBTS for a replacement due to huge paint scratch on his face. Looks like I'll be getting both Sith Lords on the same day. The anticipation is killing me. Light house display is all set up for Vader and may have to order another 2-3 just for Malgus and Greivous. It's just money, right?:slap

Last week Kevin Ellis (master of cut and sew at SSC) posted pictures of the Vader figures being hand inspected... :dunno

Just asked sideshow when Vader may ship and said today :yess: finaly hope i get my ship notice sometime today hopefully.:impatient:

Hoping mine will be today. Didn't get a reply from Sideshow to the email I sent yesterday.

There was an amount deducted from my credit card yesterday that looked suspiciously like it could be the final flex - but there still aren't any details showing to confirm whether it was Sideshow or not. :panic:

I chatted w/SSC Kathy and asked her to have someone double check the figure (yep paranoid). It wasn't a problem just another delay in shipping.

But I am fine with that. Hmmm I have been saying that for the past couple of weeks....:dunno

Honestly, I can't believe they would take the time in the warehouse to open and inspect before shipping. There's a billion examples on the boards of people getting defective replacements (especially in regards to statues and in one-off situations where it would actually make sense for them to check before paying for shipping, again). Suppose they did that for everyone, they'd get totally backlogged. Think they're just humouring people when they say they'll make a note for the warehouse or whatever. I know it's not possible to even combine shipping on two separate flexpay items going out on the same day, so them checking a figure seems implausible to me.

They're not going to check ONE box. :lol Just them saying they will to make the customer feel better. The only time I've seen any change in packaging was the 89 Batmobile which had some inspected and changed upon due to the damages occurring.

Just need to have your fingers crossed that there isn't a QC issue which I hope for all of us.

Ooh showing a bit of leg... Saucy. :p

Tusk was missing on the same side on mine when I opened it as well.

Mine was missing on the opposite side. I got lucky though and was able to find it and super glue it back on. Also be careful when adjusting the chest box, both the connecting straps came off and needed to glued as well. Had the same type of QC issues with HT's Luke, so no big deal. I'm very impressed with Vader and glad he has finally arrived.

Steve

I received my exclusive and the "tusk" on the left side was missing (and I could not find it in the box). The Vader head was turned slightly to the left, and there did not seem to be enough gap between the head and the top plastic tray. I contacted SSC for a replacement tusk and they said they would send a replacement head. After inspection - and acceptance- of the replacement head, I am to send proof of the destruction of the original.
