Yuck.

And you lie. I know you will buy the HT Vader, no matter what it is. I will write your future post for you now: "OK, so I caved and preordered the HT Vader."

You know an ROTS Vader could potentially be VERY cool. I will write your future post for YOU now: "OK, so I caved and preordered the HT Vader. Pixletwin really is the awesomest human evahr!"

If Hot Toys were to release their Vader soon, say Q2 next year, are people content with their SS Vader's or would they jump ship and buy HT's?

Aside from extras, what about the actual figure itself could be better? I think its different with human faces, they are hard to nail down, so if a new version comes out that looks more like say, Heath Ledger, thats worth it to a lot of people, even just for a more realistic face. But this is Vader, he's wearing a helmet and mask, its not a human face and most Vader figures ive seen look just like Vader, so the SS one looks almost exactly like him.

That why Im pretty certain whatever figure HT comes up with, it will be very similar to this, but to justify people double dipping it will be a DX model with a bunch of different extras that SS didnt provide.

If the extras are off the charts kick ***, Ill consider it. If not then there would be no reason to spend another $250 to get another Vader.

:lol

I will save that quote should I need it. Even when I don't buy the ROTS Vader, I may use it.

Helmet, mask, reveal head and paintwork, undersuit, cape and tunic material could still be improved -- the quality and fit of HT's clothing is a small miracle in so many figures. I also feel the weight will be improved -- he'll be heavy like their Terminator figures. The body used will be better -- get the proper stance, hunch and size of Vader -- no more skinny arms. Lightsaber - perhaps a light-up one, but if not perhaps one cast in a good color and not a cherry candy stick.

I would only buy an HT Vader if it were the RotS version.

It may still happen at some point considering the Anakin/Vader figure was rumoured from Hot Toys for a long time.

From someone who doesn't own the figure, on first glance, a better fitting suit and thicker arms.

No, that's not fair, Batman's cape is "leather" type. Or do you mean Nolan?

I would think they could find a nice material for Vader and still have the proper lined edge. But maybe not. We'll see.

Nolan capes. Yeah, I'm not a fan of an unhemmed edge either, but the fabric knit and weight on Sideshow's cape is faery good and it drapes very well. The capes Hot Toys has don for Nolan's Batman are all mediocre.

I think I'll just decide when/if HT does Vader. If its much better and the price is right, I may get a third Vader. If not, I am fine with my two SSC versions. For now, its a non-issue.

Feel free to go back & doing some reading.

People have only been mentioning both the SSC figures' horrible misfires in almost bullet point form since time in memorial. :lol

That's "immemorial." "In memorial" sounds like someone or something died - maybe hopes of an accurate Vader?:lol

I love this figure.
I have said many times I hope for a 1/4 scale Vader from HT.
But I really enjoy this figure a lot. Very imposing.
