Not until the first crappy pics. :lol

Hasbro should go back to making 1:6 with all of the Vader domes they could be selling. :lol

I disagree. The head is probably the most "major" part of the figure.
Difference between a average figure verses a great figure depends greatly on the accuracy of the head.

I guess it's all a matter if opinion.

(And level of a n a l retention) :D

Today's Spooktacular Sneak Peek:

If this is the "corrected body" then that chest armor is gonna be really small.

This must be a Vincent Nieto picture.

I realy love the size of the 1st vader he's more daunting scarey foe for luke to go up against...I know this one will be a smidge smaller so will use him against old ben fight scene dio ...This one will turn out great i know just a very crappy sneek peek pic of vader that we got today.

will be getting this Vader. While I don't like that the dome still isn't correct (and neither do the folks on FB-hopefully it'll get them to change it) I'm still getting this figure. The dome isn't a deal breaker for me. Don't have the original and I desperately need a Vader in my collection!

I think SS has more or less failed with the SW license. They got one of the biggest licenses in the world, and still can't get it right. Still got loose bodies, off proportions, and proto to final so glaring it's incredible. I mean hopefully this turns out ok, but this late in the game i think it's time to pin hopes elsewhere.

Yes and no. It's too early to judge this Vader though.

The odd human (old Ben), the Clones, Aliens, etc, have been fantastic but the lack of Droids, Grievous, Chewie, etc has been a shame.

They've got no excuse to not get this Vader right.

5 years + and they still can't nail it. At least Hasbro knew better to hand the license over.

The only human figures I never liked from SS were all versions of Luke, Han, Leia and Anakin. I know those are pretty important but out of all the SW figures they've done, It doesn't make me feelk like they've dropped the ball. Their Joes turn out great from Proto to production IMO and I think their Obi-wan will too along with later human characters

Only the most important core characters of the line. That says FAIL right there.

The discussion of Medi Vader isn't really relevant here - it isn't 1/6 and can't be displayed alongside figures made by HT or SSC, so it's not a competitor piece to the SSC Vader.

I don't have a huge amount of SSC figs and a lot of them do look pretty bad, but the ones I do have - such as Gammy, Hammy, IG-88, Tusken, Greedo, Jabba - are about as good as 1/6 figures get.

Yes, they got majorly bogged down on clones and Jedi for a LONG time, and yes, they seem to have pretty poor observation skills in general, making most (not some) of their figures less than screen accurate, but things have drastically improved in the past two years.

To me (including their other lines,) they have pulled ahead of other "second tier" (i.e. not HT) licensees like GG, Koto and Medi.

Upcoming figures like Bossk and snowtrooper look stunning and I have high hopes for this Vader. I mean, they already did one and learned from that, right? How can it go wrong again?

from that teaser pic, it looks like the head is a tad undersized for that body. :duh

Why dont they just hand over the license to HT already :huh they still get the money from distributing it and less work.
