For those of you that switched the body:

Anything in particular that I should watch out for if I'm planning to swap? Anything that's hard to get off/on? Does the head and the wrist/foot pegs fit on the slim body without mods?

Now that many of us have received our figures or have seen the pics and posts noting the differences between the fig and the actual movie suit, my question to everyone is why do you think things like this were approved? I know every little detail can't be perfect on a mass production item but this is a high end collectible. In the past I know Lucas was very specific in approving items for sale but do you think this may be the future and the result of Disney now owning the rights? Could future product approval be more of a "it's close enough as long as it sells" attitude?

Sideshow is a company that goes wonderfully "deep" into the SW character pool (Greedo, Bossk, Bib Fortuna etc.,) their products are really quite well made, and they have way better CS than they should, but they have never had a very thorough eye for getting details right.

Someone was saying several pages earlier that it's no more cost or tooling (or even effort really) to get things pretty damn close to "right" (within reason - nothing's perfect obviously) but for some reason their figures often have the kind of mysterious glaring errors like the knee armor on this figure - which isn't even close.

The helmet on this is unmistakably a Biker Scout, but its way off being a 1/6 replication of the costume helmet. Maybe think of it like the snarling Bossk head - a reinterpretation. That's the way I embraced this figure - it looks a lot like an early Biker concept drawing, so I'm cool with it. Maybe a "Sniper Scout" or something.

The noisy cricket blaster I'm not so cool with however. Fortunately he came with the sniper rifle and I gave the blaster to my 6" Biker.:lol

Got Mine ...man is this thing cool, Body swap is next for sure.

Consider the pose stolen ;)

Consider the pose stolen ;)

I did.:lol (I stole it from the ROTJ Biker concept artwork...)

Well, after a bumpy start (with mutterings about returning it,) I've made my peace with this figure. I love the sniper rifle, so I went with the ROTJ concept pose, and do think the SSC helmet looks a lot like the Nilo Rodis concept sketch helmet. It sort of captures the concept Biker pretty well.

However, for the record:

The helmet is all kinds of inaccurate - off in many different ways
The blaster is at least 20% too small - almost like an oversized 6" Black Series weapon.
The knee armor is way too angular and very off
The codpiece is less than half the size it should be (less diaper, more ladies' underwear)
The arm armor is 20% too small
The boots are too heavily weathered, even if it looks realistic
The body is very awkward and unnatural, with arms unable to come down next to it

All that said, it is a pretty cool figure.:slap:lol

Yes, it's $40 on eBay. You can search for "1/6 slim body custom" - no other non-HT "slim" on eBay is quite like the original TTM22 that I've been able to find.

Just looked but could only find a body called "naked 2".

I searched without custom and found this:

1/6 Scale Action Figure Male Muscular Naked Body Version 2.0 Toys Model | eBay

Height: 23cm/ 9" approx.

They also sell a Version 4.0 which is listed as 25cm/10", which is the normal height for standard narrow shoulders. So this one does appear to shorter. It looks skinny, but it's hard to tell.

Are you searching on the Albanian eBay site or something? ;) Your listing can't be found on ebay.com using search, it's a UK listing that ships to "Worldwide" but not to the USA. :) Haha. They ship to Canada though and the price is great - might check it out. Note it doesn't seem to include a neck post and only has one set of hands - might be difficult to find color-matched parts if needed.

Anyway, searching the REAL eBay site:

I got mine last night and I have to say, I have no problems with this body. I think you guys are kind of crazy to instantly get it and think it needs a body swap or grinding away on your $200 figure. I don't think some of the poses I have seen holding the rifle with the stock body have had much effort in posing him. Have you guys every watched those "Being a Poser" videos? You cant just tweak an arm or leg, you kind of need to man handle the whole figure a bit and get him into a realistic pose in terms of all his articulation points, (chest, torso, neck, and shoulders have to be nuanced together). My figure's head is ever so slightly loose but it is not wobbly or problematic once he is posed. I had absolutely no problem getting him into deep poses with realistic firing stances and I haven't even switched boots yet. I have no desire to have my action figure standing with his arms limply at his sides and don't have an issue with how he stands even if I were to want that pose. He is not a man in a suit, he is a dude I freaking Imperial Armor and you can see how it impedes the actors when they run or move in battle even in the films.

I am super happy with him, he looks great. I am really glad I got the rifle as the mini-blaster is a bit silly but I thought they were kind of small and more of an emergency side arm even in the films. As far as inaccuracies, they are not immediately noticeable. He is 100% an Imperial Biker Scout and if you think LFL was ever that accuracy obsessed how did all the Kenner/Hasbro stuff ever happen? I got the impression from the Collectibles panels at SDCC that I have attended over the last several years that actual likeness and screen accuracy is not a big concern unless they are certified prop replicas.

The biggest issues for me with Prometheus bodies:

- shoulders - don't like the way they move upward, can't stand the pad-like part at the top
- ankles - only articulate on a swivel, I much prefer barbells used on HT-like bodies which allows free foot articulation
- arms (varies) - can sometimes be misproportioned

I had to replace the one on Hoth Luke as there was no way to match the benefits of a shorter slim body with the stock. Will also replace the body on Hoth Han because the Prometheus he shipped with is the same as the one that came with Luke and is just a tad too short.

We'll see how it goes with this figure and whether I even need to modify the arms - hopefully not.

Lovin' the shots in here....what a great figure...here's a quick one from me....

Really looking forward to the bike now....and really trying to resist ordering another trooper....
