I didn't have the audio on b/c I was at work ...anywhoo... folks don't call me "Gipetto" in real life so again, I could post a video of some random dude lifting weights and say that's me...just making that point of how easy it is to pretend to be anyone on the internet b/c no one on here knows who I really am except for the like 2-3 ppl I have actually met in REAL world

I'd say it looks like Cavil...just needs to be painted better:

Maybe better paint would help, but if the proto doesn't look like him much there's almost no chance production will look better.

I don't really care how close this looks to the actor. I don't care for an exact representation...I just want a modern superman not in spanks and this fits the billnbill nicely

That's fine by me. It's the paint, not the sculpt and I'll do like I've always done with SS pieces...repaint them. Problem solved

Thought I was spending money on this, guess I don't have your permission, too bad cause I really wanted this.

I've only done one PF in the past but many 1/6 and a few 6" figures

Here's my Anakin PF Repaint just as an example however my technique has since improved such as skin texture, more translucency in the skin tones, better eye detail, etc...

I agree, but you wouldn't believe how many people were blown away by this head sculpt at the beginning of this thread.

Thanks man and yes it is. It's the reason why I don't buy many SS products as I used to. The prices have increased but the human paint quality hasn't to be charging HT prices for their 1/6 figures IMO. Statues are worse. They're larger, with $350+ price tags yet a PROTO looks like a factory paint job IMO. that bodes ill for this piece unfortunately. But I really want this so I will buy it. The only thing I'm not happy with is the paint. I'm glad I'm happy with the sculpt and cut/sew of it otherwise this would be a pass.

You are welcome and yeah price is way too much especially since EB/Hot Toys paint jobs are so much better. However, I think the paint job on the proto for this looks fine in the pics I have posted but not the SDCC pics.
