^ I agree 100%.

My biggest problem with QoS is that by Casino he should have earned the theme, the quips...but the film decided to go backwards. Ok. Fine. But now we're here. He's Bond now. He deserves the theme. The barrel ect.

But I'll accept it. If it's a good movie, it won't be THAT big of a deal. But it will bother me.

See, I thought the reason they did that was because in CR he wasn't "007" and then after QoS, he was 007 fully realized, and expected Skyfall to open with it. I guess if they put it after the movie here, looking at QoS in conjunction, it's just looks like this is their lame new gimmick to switch it up from the old franchise? :monkey4

I always have a laugh at the die another day one where the fired bullet shoots at the screen down the barrel of the other gun wtf?:lol

DERP. DERP.

I beg to differ. QoS is a weak movie by itself. It relies far too much on CR. That's not necessarily a BAD thing. It was just a very different idea of a movie in this franchise where each movie can basically stand on its own.

I think of QoS as the epilogue to CR. It has a new plot, but it ends the arc Bond started in CR with Vesper. It gives it closure. He can move on now as a full-fledged member of MI6 fully committed to his duty without any emotional baggage of Vesper's death and betrayal. He has closure with her boyfriend and FINALLY doesn't kill someone that could be useful to MI6.

For all those reasons, I do agree with you all thinking that the gun barrel should be at the opening of this film. Will it affect the movie for me? Not at all. I'll be there opening weekend!

I get excited about all these great new releases but then I remember the cinema is usually full of A-holes and screaming kids on opening weekends:( Think I'll wait till midweek so I can enjoy it.

Anyway just ordered this snazzy book, anyone else got it yet?

Agreed with Celtic and Nam about the Gun Barrell. I don't understand why they still aren't putting it where its supposed to be. I hope the Bond theme is at least used in the main body of the film this time.....

To troll the fans who make a big stink about it. :monkey5

It was used in Casino Royale brilliantly. I can understand the reason why it was put at the end of QoS. But it does seem odd they haven't put it back in it's rightful place. Unless this will be a "Craig Era" thing.

It absolutely won't effect how I like the movie though.

Seriously, everyone should wait until they have seen the movie before they start complaining about the gun barrel too much. When you see it, you will realise he well it works, and why it is where t is.

I'm just glad the gun barrel sequence is even in this. I remember reports that they kept it out.
