I've kinda been harsh on this film without actually meaning to (not that my opinion is the be all end all)

It's still a great film, a great bond film and worth a few watches at the cinema and a day one Blu ray purchase :yess

Without spoiling, how was Helen McCrory's role in the film? Apparently she plays Clair Dowar. She was never shown in any of the trailers.

She's only in it for a brief scene as a minister at a hearing. Nothing to write home about.

Got to see if for a second time. Still a pretty good crowd for a Monday night. Some of the cinematography is the best there has ever been in any Bond movie.

Erm don't start the film with Bond walking toward the camera with a gun then. Maybe they should have thought of that earlier. Idiot. This film was so flawed. The decision in the final act was so ridiculous and no one has even commented yet.

^^^ I complained... about the whole film, mostly. Seems if enough people shout 'BEST BOND EVER!!!!' everyone else jumps onboard like the sheeeeep they are... Very average film, actually bored at times when watching it, and the neding is simply meh...

The 'decision' at the end was so obvious and flagged from the start it had no impact on me whatsoever.

Looking forward to see what the US fans here think when finally Skyfall hits :)

So if you like the movie your a sheep? I enjoyed the movie. Do I think its the best one yet? No. But I would not say I was ever bored.

it's definitely a flawed film but its strengths outweigh its weaknesses. i watched it again over the weekend (this time in IMAX), and it kinda got a bit better upon 2nd viewing. the fundamental story flaw that saw both bond and m make incompetent choices is still a sore point i have with this film. overall, i still enjoyed skyfall quite a bit.

I watched Skyfall the day after release in a completely full cinema. I was hoping for an amazing experience. But what I saw was very average.

I honestly feel that many or most in the audience felt the same. Because while I was sitting there wondering why I was bored whilst watching a Bond film I noticed that a number of people within earshot were actually having conversations about other things.

Also I don't recall seeing or hearing any audience interaction to any part of the film. Even the parts that were meant to be funny.

Then a group got up and walked out never to be seen again.

I then started wondering why the film felt like at had been on for to long and started hoping it would just end so I could go.

I initially thought to myself I should give it a second go on Blu Ray to see if I change my mind. But after talking about it with a work collegue who is a bigger Bond fan than I am. We both decided that in our case Casino Royale was awesome, but Quantum Of Solace along with Skyfall are both **** and not worth more than one viewing.

Most Bond films are "boring" and only have 3 or 4 action scenes , and rely mostly on searching and dialogue.

So why am I worried?

Literally have no idea what tylerdurden, Tyer, Ash Housewares, and KrisSolo are talking about... I thought this was a great movie... And everyone in my cinema was making overwhelmingly positive comments (that I could hear) after the movie finished. Not to mention all of my friends/family on Facebook have been making positive comments about it, as well as nearly everybody I speak to about Skyfall face to face.

Obviously it's your respective opinions, but it's almost as if you were watching a completely different movie to the majority of the cinema-going population :dunno
