Just got back from a late showing. I quite liked it, much, much better than Quantum of Solace but not as good as Casino Royale. Definitely a worthy entry into the Bond series.

I do have to say this, Craig looks like he aged 10 years since the last movie. How sallow is his face gonna be by the time he shoots his last Bond 4 or 5 years from now?

Bond is possibly a gay boi in this. The "intimate moment" is just awkward and I can't believe Bond would respond like that. I cringed. He implies that he might have had sex before with other men? WUT!?! Moneypenny is black? Q is a young hipster? Skyfall isn't a mission or plot organization? So disappointed. It's like they turn everything that's great about Bond on it's head to reflect the times. They even make fun of the cliches and then show them. I mean I know Bond changes with the times, but the times suck! Great way to depict the character for his 50th anniversary.

The Nolan similarities/sensibilities are definitely there, especially the cinematography (which is probably the only good thing about it). Silvia is a gay version of the Joker, cop disguise, getting caught and "being ahead and all". The island looks like ****ing Inception! The story is boring. Bond retired, doesn't remember how to be Bond, sucks at being Bond. The Bond Rises.

2 hours til I get to see this and I am amped up with anticipation. Only stopped in to see if DrQ2 had offered any more wonderful insight to this movie.

Silvia is suicidal and has a weak ass death by knife. Anticlimactic. Didn't expect M to die though but I sort of saw Mallory becoming M, so I dunno. A male M again, like the originals. The sequels should be interesting. Fiennes should do well, I liked his character.

Completely agree. While it was obvious that she was Moneypenny (by her putting the coat on the coat, and getting behind the desk) and he was the new M, I got goosebumps at the end with the set being identical to the old Bond, with that door especially. And then ofcourse the gun barrel shot.

Definitely not one of the best Bond films. Best Bond though.

Bond wasn't hinting to Silva he's gay, wow that's what you got from that? silva was trying to get into the Head of Bond but Bond just threw right back at him, I'm sure deep down he was disgusted but he just didn't want to show it.

I havent seen it yet but being an old fart like myself I hope Bond doesnt switch hit even if its for his country....My father now deceased and many of the older generation would agree...It just would be hard to get used too that all...otherwise I cant wait to see this...If its even close to CS in being great I will be satisfied...I only loved the first 15 minutes of QOS ..the rest went to pot

Actually, it is. It has a pay off, in a more thematic sense then a "OMG SUGUR GOT LASERS THROUGH HIS EYES AND EXPLODEDEDEDQ1111"

They set it up through out the film, and the ending has a point to it.

Suicidal? He wasn't suicidal. He had no choice. That is what happens when you get caught, you take the cyanide. But it didn't kill him, so he continued to live. So this suicidal thing makes no sense. And the knife thing was hinted through out the entire movie. "It's old school" That was beyond obvious. I love how it reflected in Silva's eyes. He was like "For ****s sakes! ARE YOU KIDDING ME...RARAGH".
