Really enjoyed it, but wasn't crazy about Bardem. Q was great. A very different Bond movie. Opening was amazing. Last scene was way cool although way too predictable.

Here's to hoping for more posts from DrQ2. :lol

Bond is possibly a gay boi in this. The "intimate moment" is just awkward and I can't believe Bond would respond like that. I cringed. He implies that he might have had sex before with other men? WUT!?! Moneypenny is black? Q is a young hipster? Skyfall isn't a mission or plot organization? So disappointed. It's like they turn everything that's great about Bond on it's head to reflect the times. They even make fun of the cliches and then show them. I mean I know Bond changes with the times, but the times suck! Great way to depict the character for his 50th anniversary.

The Nolan similarities/sensibilities are definitely there, especially the cinematography (which is probably the only good thing about it). Silvia is a gay version of the Joker, cop disguise, getting caught and "being ahead and all". The island looks like ****ing Inception! The story is boring. Bond retired, doesn't remember how to be Bond, sucks at being Bond. The Bond Rises.

Best Bond yet? **** THIS MOVIE!

:lol

Not even mad. Just a bit shocked actually. I guess the director wasn't lying. Jokes on me!

Jesus ****. :lol

Anyway, that was just a quip. It didn't mean anything. Bond does that **** all the time. Anything to get the villain to side with him.

I wouldn't want Silvia to side with me, especially with that jaw. :horror

Oh and Alec Trevelyan was a better former rogue agent as 006. It was like, "been there, done that".

Yeah. Too bad too, because it's a really great movie. One of the best Bond flicks.

Go see it Jye. If you love Bond, you will enjoy it.

Crap, I didn't know anything about SF until DiFabio's minirant. :lol

Still a lot of surprises for you. Go see it, you might feel completely different.

The opening is great. Bérénice Marlohe is a do want and the action is fantastic, specifically at Shanghai.

I just didn't like the character choices that were made and the overall story. It's like it was made for a new generation of ****ing kids. Sort of like Amazing Spider-Man. I guess it's only right because Bond should reflect the times. Whatever.

I'm an old fart.

BOND HAS APPEALED WHATEVER GENERATION HE WAS IN SINCE SEAN CONNERY.

Almost every Bond film reinvents the character for that time. Every Bond has his place. And Craig is beyond perfect.

Seriously, watch every Bond film, and you'll be saying that **** after every single one. :lol

Yeah, I just said that Celtic. Bond should reflect the times. I guess Craig just ain't my Bond. Not crying, just don't like it.

Eh. You're just wrong, and you need to die.
STFU.

Kidding kidding. :D But I...understand...but I also don't get it at the same time. Craig wasn't totally Bond yet. He is now, 100%. But it took 3 movies to actually build and develop his character. Which I liked. We got to actually see him as a real human, rather then a....thing.

Completely agree. While it was obvious that she was Moneypenny (by her putting the coat on the coat, and getting behind the desk) and he was the new M, I got goosebumps at the end with the set being identical to the old Bond, with that door especially. And then ofcourse the gun barrel shot.

Definitely not one of the best Bond films. Best Bond though.
