After making a Batman movie with hardly any Batman, that should be printed on toilet paper.
Actually, all the Bond films are in the same universe.
007/James Bond is just an agent code name past down to the best of the agents. Just like M, just like Moneypenny, just like Q, just like Blofeld, etc.
OR
There's no continuity at all.
I don't buy that. It's a different actor playing the same character. Simple as that. These movies take place during different periods in Bond's life. They're not a linar timeline. Like the opening to GoldenEye could take place before License to Kill, and then come back to GoldenEye years later, ect...
Maybe there's a secret Bond clone factory.
And then Nolan fans would buy every roll they could get their hands on and stick them in their Detolfs.
It's simple. If it wasn't the same man, why would Moore's Bond in For Your Eyes Only go visit and lay flowers at the grave of the Lasenby Bond's wife who died in On Her Majesty's Secret Service?
Who would clone Roger Moore crica 1985
No, that was James Bond Jr.
He even has his own theme song.

Mute the audio, and place it over this, for maximum effect.

Just a theory (one that I've seen thrown around a few times).
I don't think people give a **** about continuity. Fans or the makers of the films. I've never seen all the Bond films as one character/story, even before Casino Royale
Different Bonds. I know Connery's jetpack is in Die Another day, but I thought that was more of a nod/homage than anything that pertains to story.
They don't look the same though, so no clones.
Is anybody really surprised?
If you want continuity for 50 years go watch a TV Soap Opera.
Just don't watch TDK then TDKR.
