That's how I picture the Honest Trailer people.
I think they are pretty funny. Not sure why you guys are reacting so badly to them. Isn't it just a guy doing what we all do with films except he's making funny trailers out of it?

I continue to find them funny. Its not the kind of thing where you just do one. Theres a lot of films out there and a lot of fun nitpicking to be had. I love seeing that other people have the same thoughts I do on various WTF bits of films.

Nitpicking is ruining movies. And actual criticism.
I don't understand...and find it to be horribly misguided and wrong. I'm sorry, but this entire "nitpicking" phase is just terrible in every possible way, and actually makes me 2% more angrier then anything on the internet.
People go after movies like The Avengers, and Dark Knight Rises, and nitpick those to death, but leave films like Hansel and Gretel, Movie 43, and ANY Adam Sandler movie unscratched. WHY? WHY THE ****.
It's the I HATE EVERYTHING mentality, and it sucks.

Plus who's going to watch one of these things done on an Adam Sandler film that no one cared to see in the first place. Any joke would be lost on them because they haven't seen the film or if they did they never bothered committing any of it to longterm memory.

It's not harmless. In a perfect world, it might be. But most people take these things at face value. And end up using them to actually criticize the movie.
And that comes from the fact that they don't come off like they are joking. There's no hint of sarcasm in their videos. RedLetterMedia did the same exact bit for their Skyfall review, and used the same type of nitpicks...but they had this nice layer of sarcasm wrapped around it.

I don't understand where you're distinguishing what this guy is doing from what Red Letter Media is doing. In fact, of the two, I'd be more inclined to think the latter is far more seriously criticising and nitpicking films than the Honest Trailer guy. RLM uses actual valid arguments to back his stuff up, hes being quite serious in what hes saying about the films, he's just inserting some funny $h!t too.
Honest Trailer guy is just in good fun. Again, I see no reason to think the guy is serious in his ''hate'' for these films.

I just don't find any humor in them, man. If a movie is bad, it's bad because it's bad overall. Not because of small little nitpicks. If a movie is good, I don't try and find things I hate about it, because what's the point in that?

Exactly. I hope people aren't pissed off with Honest Trailer's just because he took the piss out of films they liked. I like most of the films that he's done trailers for that I happen to have watched and I still found them funny. Love the film or genuinely hate it the trailers are funny.
Its not only Celtic here, I've seen other people reacting the same in youtube and I just don't understand why - people taking him absolutely seriously and thinking he hates the films and wants you to hate them too - its just a joke lads.
Who says hes even trying to say that any of these movies are 'bad'? They're not reviews, mainly they're just a series of funny observations about the films in a trailer-guy type voice.
