Picked the BD up a Wal-Mart today while out in the suburbs. Doesn't work. Stutters to :07 during the Fox logo and freezes. All my other Blurays work.

Edit- If I'm fast enough and hit skip befor it freezes, it gets to the previews just fine. Gonna give the film a whirl. Anyone else have this problem? I would take it back tonight but there's no Wal-Mart in the city so will wait until this weekend I guess....

Nope. It's an RCA Bluray player. I haven't experienced any troubles with this machine yet. The movie played just fine. It was just that Fox logo. Took me about 30 minutes to get past it... I did get a bad copy of "Inception" when it first came out. Green pixels would pop up in a bunch of scenes. I exchanged that and it worked no problem so I'm hoping it's just this one disc. I'll go to a different Wal-Mart to do the exchange and hope their batch is better.

Indeed. On an older DVD player, new Disney movies would do this to me all the time. You'd have to go to the chapter selection menu and choose chapter 2 and then rewind until you got to a few seconds after chapter 1. I pinpointed those issues to a particular studio. It wasn't too long after having a few of those I sprung for my first Bluray player. The one I have now is my second and a much better machine with fewer issues than anything I've used since VCR.

No one else got this movie yet? I was up until midnight watching it. I couldn't wait to see it again. I'd only seen it once in theaters.

Picked this up yesterday (did see it originally in the theatre) and am home today due to my son having a bit of a fever. We curled up on the couch and I have to say that it's just as fantastic as I remember it in the theatre-- two scenes stand out: 1) of course the DB65 driving in the Scottish highlands but 2) the other scene that is incredibly strong is Bond running while M recites lines from Tennyson-- I think that's one of my favourite parts of the entire movie. Great filmmaking.

Judi Dench is going to be missed in future films. Although her role and ultimately her demise in Skyfall do make this film one of the greats

picked up today the Blu ray dvd combo at walmart.
played it on my ps3 works perfect.

this is my second time watching this movie, wow what a great movie and the HD quality is just superb.

glad I added it to my Blu ray collection.

I watched it on Blu Ray as well and wow I even enjoyed it the second watch more than the first. This film kicks ***.

EDIT: I'm surprised Sideshow hasn't done a Skyfall figure. It's a shame. With all the nice suits he had on I'd think it would be a no brainer.

I picked this one up myself and I enjoyed the movie quite well. I do have a question about this. Is this suppose to be before Sean Connerys era?

I don't belive so. Casino Royale and Qunatum are the start if his career and would be before those movies in theory. Trying to figure where all the films fit in order would be hard. The DB5 is from Goldfinger so that would make you belive this is older. But then you have the issue that M is the same person at beginning of career and is same now later, yet a different M existed in the middle.

You can't really add it all to the same timeline. The Craig Bond films are reboots. Like fitting Amazing Spider-Man into the Sam Raimi Spider-man films...just don't.

Do they even have the license anymore? :dunno

Supposedly 007 is too good for action figures now.

I know nothing about the politics of action figure world, so I'm afraid I can't answer. But I'd buy one. :lol

There is no such thing as the word "reboot" in the Bond franchise-- with every new Bond it's just that-- a new Bond. The only confusing thing might be the continuation of the same actor playing M (a la Dench) or Q (a la Llewelyn).
