I can understand that. I really can. But it's hard for me to really get that a 100% when I read on the "DO THIS" part where one of them said "YEAH SKYFAL!11 THAT MOVIE WAS DUMP".

I can't find where the comedy ends, and the criticism begins. When he says things that go after the film viciously, as if it were terrible stain on cinema, it makes me question what the creator is trying to do.

If all they did was point out overly hyperbolic nitpicks that are SO outlandishly nitpicky, and point them out like they are really ruining the film, then I might chuckle. Just like what RLM did in their Skyfall review. But he's not. And i'm left wondering what his stance on the film is....

Every day i'm learning something new about film. What it means, why it is what it is. And when I see people point out every little flaw, every little problem, it just makes me sad. Because I don't understand why those people miss the point about watching a movie.

I don't question his stance. Like any of us I'm sure he loves some of the films and doesn't so much like other ones that he's doing trailers for.

You have a fair enough point though about these gob$h!tes who will use some of the nitpicky and inane things he highlights about the films as their real reasons for justifying hating a particular film.

I like to think I'm a bit smarter than those ***ks. For example I watched his TDKR trailer in which he points out the absurdity of Batman standing precariously on top of some spire atop a building for dramatic effect; or going to the trouble of setting up that batsymbol on fire on the bridge - how long did it take, how much time did he waste while there was nuclear bomb soon to be set off to do these things? What a sight it would have been had the film actually shown Batman climbing up there to do this.

Now I don't really like TDKR. However I appreciate that these aren't proper reasons to dislike that film if one must dislike it. And BB and TDK probably had similar ****, in fact I'd be certain they did and I do like those films.

I just wish they would tone down the "hate" to just being overly nitpicky to a point where it becomes comedic.

"WHY DID JAMES BOND HAVE TO JUMP ON THE TRAIN? COULD'NT HE JUST GRAB A ROCKET LAUNCHER INSTEAD?"

It just looks like he's saying every movie is terrible, and everything about movies is terrible, and there is nothing good about a movie.

What about the reviews where they act nitpicky but at the end they say, "**** it, this movie is awesome". They've done that for a few of them.

Don't get the hate. Some of the points they make for some of my most disliked movies from last year were/are spot on. Not that I agree with the Bond one, but it is humorous.

C'mon Celtic, you didn't get a lol out of their Spider-Man or Titanic ones? 3D bewbs?

But that's the comedy. They're doing that to be funny. Yet, you know by the end, it's not a serious attack on the film.

I just don't know what this is.

I did laugh at ASM. But the thing is, I don't want to be THAT guy who is selective on the hate. :lol

I'll hate it all. So I don't look hypocritical. :lol

Yeah, the suggestive comments at the beginning of each trailer proves to me they are just being trolls, to be trolls.

Skyfall is a dump? **** you pal. :lol

I watched the Skyfall review just to see if at some point they would drop the pretense of it sucking, which they do about 1/4 into it. They've made a reputation for trashing films where they now feel they have to deliver a ripping even when it's a good film.

I know only one person who didn't like Skyfall and that person wants campy Bond with the crazy toys.

I loved this film. The only problem with it being the next film has a lot to live up to. They really knocked it out of the park.

People go after movies like The Avengers, and Dark Knight Rises, and nitpick those to death, but leave films like Hansel and Gretel, Movie 43, and ANY Adam Sandler movie unscratched. WHY? WHY THE ****.

It's like watching a stand-up comedian take down a heckler, versus watching a heckler making fun of a comedian who is obviously bombing.

It's not really that entertaining making fun of something that's obviously very stupid.

If you make fun of Hansel and Gretel you'll have to deal with Ween. Nobody makes fun of her celebcrush and gets away with it.

I saw an Adam Sandler film that didn't suck last night called Reign Over Me. It wasn't five star, but it was better that anything else Sandler's done in years and years.

To recap this thead.

Yeah a new bond movie.
Boo they rippex of batman.
Nolan would have done better
That real trailer is funny
That real trailer is stupid.

Did i miss anything?:rotfl

Except they only release a Plinkett Review once a year.

When your fans dictate what you produce, it's always terrible. Period. Honest Trailers are terrible because they don't even seem to have a joke any more. The joke is what...the good popular movie has problems? How is that a joke? That's just attacking something because the dumb people want it.

I want to request Shindler's List and Shawshank Redemption. I can't wait to see them rip apart those great films. Because it's funny to see people take a **** on things made with actual talent, and class.

I LOVE YOU. BUT I HATE PEOPLE POO-ING ON MY FAVORITE FILM OF THE YEAR.

If they do Dredd, i'm going to punch them in their face.

For as much as I loved Skyfall (and Bond in general), there were things in there that were ripe for Honest Trailer material. I loled at Gollum Silvia like I usually do at the "Starring . . . " parts.

And they won't do Dredd because nobody cares about Dredd.

That got a smile out of me. But that's it.

I still don't understand what they're doing here. They called the movie overrated right off the bat. That tells me they didn't like it. Check. They point out some actual flaws, that weren't that big of a deal, but then say things that suggest they really hate movies. Like the train line. If you wanted the conductor to stop the train, there wouldn't be a great chase sequence. There would be no movie.

This one was reaching. Most of them are. But this one really bothered me, because I don't know what they're trying to say. Are they saying that the movie is terrible and overrated because of all these issues? Or that the movie is great, and these "flaws" are over the top to show how great it was...??
