Re: Han Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I picture a homeless Gareth Edwards, Nick Stahl Josh Trank and these Lego bros panhandling in some alley while each mumbling something about their careers.

"That bloody wench Kennedy and fudge packing Gilroy!"

"I lead the damn resistance!"

"Everything was awesome until coke headed Kasdan!"

"Doom, we're all doomed!"

I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle: Howard won't delivered anything unique or memorable, but the Lego bros wouldn't have delivered anything but mock-Simpsons humor at best.

This thread needs DiFabio's input.

I will even go to church this sunday if it means it will bring DiFabio back.

Like a heroin addict I am suffering DiFabio withdrawals.

Their films are fantastic. They sell concepts you would BET YOUR LIFE would never work.

This film is at a great loss.

The directors sound like shoe-ins for the next Thor movie.

21 Jump, fantastic?

These two guys seem very good at what they do, and they should stick to it. But I don't think anyone wants a Han Solo comedy... and I would venture that Disney doesn't need another Space Comedy Adventure like Guardians. I don't see the "evil empire" implications here.

Do these two guys really fit into your "auteur" paradigm?

When you goggle Han Solo directors -- all you get is Ron Howard now. :lol

Yes it is, and so is 22. Both I would say are well deserved of becoming classic comedies of this generation. I just did a double feature of both the other week, it's the third time i've done that and it won't be the last.

Lord and Miller are amazing directors and they are the only reason I was excited for this film. I'm not a star wars fan so I was really excited to see their energy and humor in the star wars world. This news of them not doing it anymore is really to bad.
