Sideshow's listed heights are only estimations tho'.

Most of the statues I have are very close to the size they give as an estimate. Ssc is quite accurate in relation to other statue producing companies imo..

That's actually not that accurate. Whilst the apple is used for comparison, the pics themselves aren't taken at the same distance, they are shown to encompass the entire piece in relation to an apple. Not to mention that 1/4 scale in comparison to 1/5 scale isn't just about height but proportion of the actual body pieces themselves. BUT rest assured judging by Sideshow's past track record, I would say collectors have nothing to fear. The X-Men Astonishing Comiquettes will be in scale with one another.

Crouching/sitting etc; Instead of hight you should look at the diameter of the arms and legs as well (body volume comparison). And yes, within the same scale hulk still should be larger than spidey of course..

I think the 'Golden gauntlets' are the most distracting part of this statue. I like x-men in their classic outfits..

Nope, I am not really impressed by the look. Other than the Iron Man Comiquettes I prefer the PF look and scale for the most part but have the Spidey Comiquettes and am waiting for another "home run" to get me to buy them again. I'm hoping that Beast if/when he gets into the PF treatment will look more like Jim Lee's version than a really sad version of Garfield.

I really think Sideshow should change the way they release their products. They should put 2 or 3 different versions of a character up for vote on their website and let us(collectors) decide what version we prefer.

That is the one thing that Sideshow lacks, listening to fan inputs. You ask for current Iron man vs Thor diorama and they give us ancient Ironman vs Namor.

i don't know if this is confirmed. it's just something ssc does every so often when they want to up the ES on something that sold really well. the last one i can recall is the patient zero PF. there was a huge demand for it and ssc managed to make a International version to sell some more. people weren't to happy about it at the time.

They also did it for the Mouser TMNT statue as well.

Sorry dude I was just joking because it burned me when they did that previously. I was up until 3am to order the mouser and then a few months on they released an international edition which is exactly the same the only difference is that they have the words Internation edition marked on the plate underneath.

With the number of pieces that could have been home runs except for something small, that would have been a great idea. PCS and Koto does it and their pieces turn out great conceptually.

UGHHH lets not forget about the Guardian Predator that was limited to "500" stores have them for sale and there have been atleast 400 listed on ebay since they came out 3 months ago.


Anything that is released at a convention seems to have a certain number here and the same amount in Asian and a few extra thousand in Antartica!
