I think they should just fix the cape and then it can look great no matter how you pose it. I don't get the point of making a statue that has to be posed just right to make it look good.

I used these photos because both have their symbol on the chest pointed directly at us. Superman has the Masculine stance that I wish came across more in the Batman statue. Superman could put his hands on his hips and still look masculine. Unlike Batman who would look like he was thinking about changing his lifestyle.

The red lines you have drawn on Bats and Supes are awesome visual aids, and showed what Canale was doing. The parallel lines on Supes though strong are not dynamic. The slanting lines of Canale which would intersect with each other leads to a dynamic feeling pose. Not girlie persay but dynamic.

I agree, this was the production photo that sold it for me. I didn't notice any cape issues until others have brought it up, although I can see their point of view. As for the EX hand possibly not being visible enough which some were concerned about, I was thinking maybe position him where the gargoyle base would be facing a little more forward, that should have the batarang arm fully visible.

Like this one but with the other portrait so he's not looking so much to the side.

HATE THIS ANGLE WITH ALL MY MIGHT!! I LIKE FLAME EYES ON SUPERMAN EX BETTER THEN THIS ANGLE!!! STILL LOOKS GIRLIE!!

Fixed to my opinions.

You see Dynamic. I see Feminine. The "dynamic" way Batman is standing on that statue is the Equivalent of a Dynamic statue of Batman running like a girl

It's fine that they wanted a more dynamic statue, he just should look like a man while doing it

Like I said. He is just a "putting his hands on his hips" away from looking just like the chick in the photo I posted.

Jaws, i bet if you did that poll like you did for the Superman PF Ex head, for the Batman Cape and see how many people are happy/unhappy with the cape, what would be the percentage of those who thought it looked poo and wanted SSC to change it?

I don't want to start that. Besides if SS has not changed the cape by now they would have to delay It again and I don't want the fire and pitchforks coming out after me for making a poll that could result In another delay

But it's cool Spidey that you love it. Most seem to love it also. I just have my issues. But I will be displaying it a certain way so it should not bother me. I just wish the cape was a little lower and the stance looked a bit more manly from other angles. Overall this piece is a win. I hope I love it in hand even more. Perhaps SS even made some small adjustments already

I am truly hoping with this Batman PF and the Superman PF, someone will produce alternative portraits for them. Not that I don't like these portraits, but like you said, there are soooo many other really cool alternatives.

I was asked by a film reviewer who I thought played the best Batman, and I said Kevin Conroy.... The man has the perfect voice for Batman. If Conroy is voicing the Bats I can simply believe it...lol.

couldn't agree more. Conroy is Batman for me. I am disappointed every time they make an animated film/game and don't use him for the voice.

I love Kevin Conroy also. However I thought Peter Weller did a fantastic job in The Dark Knight Returns part 1 and 2. In fact I preferred him more to Conroy for this particular story. An Older Darker Batman. Conroy could have pulled it off but I thought Weller was perfect. Only time I have like someone else doing the Batman voice for one of the animated features.
