So is the Shockie more an off-white like the Utapau trooper? It looks like it in the group shot. The white in the Trooper Commander looks brighter than the clones.

the Shock trooper is actually more white than the Utapau clone. It looks as if the Utapau clone has been in smoke a little while

I'll have mine from my retailer by thie Weds at the latest.

I have the Ex on order as well and was a bit surprised to see the Reg showed up at retailers first, usually its the other way around.

Hopefully the Ex's will start to ship this week. Based on the pics I've seen this is another great looking Clone!

Spoke with Sideshow and the Exclusive will begin processing on 12/07/09. Looks like the Reg I get will be for Christmas and the EX I'll be able to incorperate into my MIB collection as soon as I get it.

thanks to this thread for reminding me of this figure. I read through it and was reading how many of you have gotten your 25 days notice and that the regular was already popping up. I was like, "Hey, I haven't gotten any notice:confused:" I then remembered how I skipped the excl. and SS for this figure. I don't need the excl. base and the reg. would be a couple of bucks cheaper from an etailer or a local retailer.

It's not "screen accurate."

Wrong...again.:D

What do you not like about the weathering?

I just prefer the clean, inspection ready look of the armored troopers. I used to do troop-building with the Hasbro stuff and I would clean off any weathering they had such as on the EIII Clone Troopers and the 5th Security Clones. Then set them up in formation. I just like the way they look that way.

Don't get me wrong...I really like when people set up customs to look really battlebeaten. There was once a website (I can't find it now) that had the 3 3/4" figures done so well that they had the helmets partially broken away from the heads and the head sculpt would be modded to make it look like it was burnt and bloody from being blasted. They looked awesome and I would display that kind of stuff in a heartbeat. But first and foremost, I would like clean ones to display. And although screen accuracy means nothing to me as long as the character is well represented to me, the weathering done on the Sideshow figures makes it so that if I did want to set up a diorama with multiple troopers, they would all look identicle and that would take away from the diorama for me.

Edit...here is a shot. The plain white EIII clones came. at first, with a bunch of goldish-colored weathering on them. I found a cleaner that would easily take it off with a q-tip.

^^^Agree. Woulda liked at least one "pristine" representation of this figure. GG's mini-bust, the Koto, the Mighty Mugg, the Medi, the 7" Unleashed, and now the SS are all "weathered". Not counting the 3 3/4" figs, the only versions I can think of as "clean" are the bobble head and MR's helmet...

I'm always impressed with some people's clone armies. Even in 3 3/4th scale. After getting restless with my Utapau and Storm Trooper, I too, started becoming a clonaholic, but I try to only get one commander and 2 grunts. I just don't know what I'd do with 30 of the same exact clone:lol

One of the coolest displays that I have ever seen was a 1:6 scale diorama of Darth Vader's arrival on the death star. It was a close-in shot with only about 20 or so (if I remember correctly) Medicom Stormtroopers and Vader. But it was awesome. If I had the space and money, I would try to completely re-create the scene with Sideshow 1:6 scale figures. But they wouls all have to be clean.

Well, I'd say he had an issue with the diluted Jango gene pool, but the Shocktroopers would be 2nd gen Jango clones themselves :D
