Darth Maul longed for revenge against the Jedi. He was finally unleashed by his Master, Darth Sidious, in an assassination attempt on Queen Amidala on the outskirts of Tatooine. He battled briefly with Qui-Gon Jinn, the Queen’s Jedi escort, but could not reach his target. Later, Maul waited for Amidala on Naboo, where he dueled with Qui-Gon and his apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Sith fought with blinding speed and impressive agility, and stabbed Jinn through with his red double-bladed lightsaber; he would prove unable to best Obi-Wan, however. The young Jedi, in a surprising move, cut Maul in two and sent him tumbling down the planet core, seemingly destroyed.

Hot Toys is revisiting the Darth Maul figure for the 25th anniversary of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and is delighted to present the 1/6th scale Darth Maul collectible figure with great detail. Wow! It looks much improved overall! I wonder if there's a version that won't include the speeder bike though? I really don't want that.

New heads, robe and outfit look much better now, at least as far as the proto goes. Love that they got rid of the etched lines to make the tattoos and it's all smooth like it's supposed to be. Hopefully the paint apps survive the production process.

I prefer the more exaggerated facial muscles on the previous angry portrait, but no sculpted tattoos is a huge leap. This looks amazing.

They've posted an album for the standalone figure, looks like there will be.

Well, I think at least I can get him without the speeder. I mean...sure id love the USB light up for the speeder, but I just can't...I have six Mauls as it is, but I can't pass up this headsculpt. Looks great. Finally got that thinner face.

Edit**

Immediately after posting I realized I was just fooling myself and OF COURSE I'll end up with another speeder 🤣
