Never thought I'd be defending TROS, but here goes...

He wasn't trying to clone himself, was he? That was the Sith Eternal.

Also, the only reason he wanted Rey to kill him was so he could possess her and become all-powerful - similar to his plan for Luke.

Snoke's intentions in having her killed are less clear. Maybe he wasn't fully under Palps' control?

Khev still likes TLJ.. He turned on it for a little bit because of the way RJ was treating the fans.

TLJ is an awful SW movie. I like Hamills performance and the Kylo stuff but the rest is complete and utter garbage. The worst of the Saga. IMO its not even close to as good as TROS (warts and all)

There are elements I liked, such as Luke withdrawing from civilisation like a Conradian character, and the blowhole, the heart of darkness, that I had in my signature for some time.




I also liked Canto Bight.


But so much of the film was awful.

The only thing I actually feel intense hatred for in the Sequels is Kylo.

Words can't describe how absurd the character is to my mind. I can even stomach Jar Jar more than that freaky changeling. Since Kylo is such an unconvincing character it robs Han's death of any feeling, and his ghost/hallucination in TROS utterly hollow.

The Sequels are as remote to me as those Star Wars stories set thousands of years in the past.

So 30+ years of Piece and saving your son is a nothing Sacrifice.. I get the complaint that Palps is out of nowhere and was used as a plot convenience but really.. Because he is not Dead there was no meaning to the sacrifice.. I said this before.. If I step in front of a bullet for my son but the bad guy gets away.. My sacrifice means something.



First let me say. I was there with you.. I hated the force lightning in TLJ. Hated it... But then I got to thinking about what ben said

The fact that Obi Wan says he if Luke chooses to go he must go alone he ant interfere. Like I said.. That made me think way back then that there were things they could do but were not allowed to do when it came to the Destiny of the Living and the will of the force.

If the films were made in actual chronological order the Luke and Obi Wan were just as big of pussies as Luke. They went and hid. Why? Obi wan was watching over Luke? Well what about Leia she could have used some Jedi protection I am sure.

Hey Yoda.. Get off your ass and g with Luke to Bespin and put an end to Vader.. You could have... We saw you do it. (this is my example of how the PT ****ed with Canon all their own by making Yoda someone who could fight like a ninja)

Others have stated that all the empire was looking for them.. Why doesnt Luke get that excuse with the first Order.. They literally were looking for him.. He did hide of fear.. But it was his fear of failure. The fear of facing his sister and best friend after screwing up the thing that meant the most to them.




And yet she was still afraid. Unless that was just some poor acting and she was supposed to look like she was having a good time during her confrontation with Luke

Oh i agree ben and yoda were cowards to some degree, more so ben then yoda. Yoda was old as **** so i caN imagine after his fight with palps in sith he realized he was done. Didnt have the strengh to do it anymore, the problem is the both stil hid away while other jedi were still being hunted down and slaughterd. I dont think they worried about leia being discovered because she was not ?force sensitive? or could mary poppins yall in space during the ot or even pre ot. They werent simply worried about vader or the emperor sensing her presence because they had no reason to be. Why they brought luke back to his dads birthplace expecting vader not to search there is beyond stupid, they could have easily had anakin be raised on some other desert planet. Its still stupid he didnt search there but i can see Why ben did stay behind to protect luke.

Luke was not like yoda or ben, he was different. He was much like his father and even wonder Rey, he did not reject love or compassion he put his friends before the rules of the order which is why he disobeyed yoda and ben on multiple occasions. Ben lied to him because both he and yoda believed vader couldnt be saved (once you travel down that dark path Forever will it dominate your destiny....) that luke had to do the unspeakable thing of killing his own father. But again luke rejected their advice and ended up turning his father Because he was willing to die instead of kill him. That same luke would not have even thought about trying to kill his nephew cause he saw some darkness in him when he had already succeeded in turning the most evil bastard in the galaxy back to the light (when no jedi before him thought it could be done. No instead he helps create a monster then runs and hides on a rock leaving his sister and his friends to be annihilated by that same monster he had a hand in creating. That sounds like something ben kenobi or yoda would do but not Luke Skywalker. Say you take away the ****ing stupid ****ing **** of him raising his saber to kylo in his sleep and he failed with kylo due to the emperor corrupting him, he wouldnt have left his sister and his friends to be murdered by kylo, we would have tried to trun ben back because he was t like ben and yoda. Ben and yoda failed due to thier beliefs, its stupid to have luke making the same mistakes when he had already proved the other two wrong. I see why ben and yoda hid but having luke hide is just too much of a departure of his character

Tros did nothing to fix this characterization, in fact they had him admit he was scared and even as a super powered force ghost that could whoop palps ass he still decides to hide on the rock so wonder rey can save the dizzzzay because only she has overcome and confronted the “fear”. Luke already confronted his fear in the cave and overcome his temptation in the final fight with vader. He like wonder rey was able to use anger and emotions to fuel him but not let them consume him. Why they regressed his character into an unrecongizable recluse wierdo is beyond me

Thats the problem with the disney retcon with palps, he did not want luke to kill him he wanted luke to kill his father and take his place at his side. This whole nonsense is just part of KK?s poorly conceived elseworlds story. He also wanted rey dead In tlj or else why would he have snoke (who was him apparently) order ren to kill her. None of it makes sense because they had no plan, which is why they didnt even bother explaining how palps even survived His fall. Palps had no clue kylo wouldnt strike her down you can tell by snokes reaction. The fact of the matter is dude was trying to clone himself so he could achieve immortality, the sith dont want to leave their flesh they cling to life. He was trying to clone himself into the perfect vessel but he kept failing. Darth plagues survived by stealing the life force from others, sinilar to how palpatine revived his clone body- he did not let people kill him so he could become them. If that was the case palpatine isnt even palpatine he is plageus the wise (he beame him the moment he killed him) but thats not the case in the real star wars universe only in this world between worlds mirrorverse. Moreover, If he really wanted luke to strike him down why did he let vader block his attack while he was still sitting defenseless in his chair?. Also why didnt he just let anakin strike him down before he even turned to vader in that whole “you want to kill me, i can feel it” scene. Going even further why didnt he let mace kill him so he take maces body why did he let anakin stop that, mace was even angry and consumed by hate when he raised his saber to strike him down. It was the perfect setup for good ole palps to make is move but nope
