You me and JAWS did what imperfect ROTJ trained us to do, what we were bred to do, what we were born to do!

That 3 stood against many and they will know that before this battle is over that even a doomcock can bleed.

Notice how no one can answer this? They choose to ignore it.

The actual answer is she believed in the force and could do it.

I believe in the Japanese language, therefore I can speak it!

Total crap.

:lol

Calling the PT era baggage while praising Solo? HAHAHA.

ST isn?t better executed unless they better executed it into turning Star Wars to ****.

ST has so many retcons and plotholes to the point they dedicated TROS to undoing TLJ.

That is not better execution.

Hey Ducky! I was seriously starting to worry that something happened to you.

Come on.. No its not... You have plenty of post that have nothing to do with the PT.. You just get your panties in a bunch because you are a PT apologist and I just cant accept someone crapping on the ST when they are such advocates for any of the PT :) So I have to pile on the PT.

Even though I like one of the PT films more then 2 of the ST films :lol :lol :lol

Nice!!! CockofDoom!!!!!!

:lol :lol

But TPM is good!!!!!

Lol well same goes for me. I can?t except someone crapping on the pt if they love the ST. I like poking fun at you guys still.

But let?s be very real here. I def wouldn?t be here if jye and khev didn?t crap on rots. I like debating them and occasionally kicking there little sand castle when they say ST just was sooooooooo amazing and pt failed. Also let?s not forget. I?m not a huge fan of the first two pt films but rots I love and will defend. I know it?s bad tho but it?s still great. The others just have good moments sprinkled throughout

JAWS I won?t quote it because it was a long one...but a good one!
Once again you captured something.
I went into TROS with VERY low expectations based upon the word on the street about its quality. I had almost forgotten that immediately as the end credits rolled I loved it.
My wife and I looked to each other and could not figure out why it was being savaged by the critics.
Your post actually reminds me of how I felt immediately after seeing the film.
Sadly by later that evening the cracks began to show and by the next day I thought it had been a terrible movie...so terrible that it is in fact the only Star Wars anything that I do not own...and I have EVERYTHING.
I did rewatch it on Disney Plus and sadly it was significantly worse to me the second time.
Your post, however, does make a very good case for why some can indeed find the movie to be enjoyable.
It was not for me...but I can now definitely appreciate why you like it.

This is how I felt after I left Spider-Man 3. You don?t want to hate the film but you must recognize it?s flaws

How many movies exist that are happy accidents that come from botched productions that miraculously worked.

Add TROS to that list.

Yea how about no. When a movie about a sad clown man is more talked about than the final film in a star wars trilogy. Then I wouldn?t say that worked. Maybe for you three.

Yes I should have clarified, by execution I merely meant directing and acting. It did suffer from being made up as they went along, unlike the PT.

The destruction of the OT heroes, their accomplishments, AND the force was hardly a "happy accident". It was the stuff of nightmares on screen and it was pathetic.

Here is a picture of a dung beetle, they consume waste. It is a far more accurate comparison than one of the 300 spartans.

What destruction of the OT heroes in the ST.

You must be thinking of Yoda or Anakin in the PT.

Lol huh? How was anakin deconstructed? You can argue it wasn?t done well but it wasn?t deconstructed. He became evil and was darth Vader that?s it.

O what am I doing. I?m argueing with a guy who thinks rey is a well told character. It?s like talking to wet sand

Other then Leia Poppin, Which is not a deconstruction, its just stupid :lol . I have no issues with the Death of Han. It was going to happen no matter what kind of film was made and Luke likes his Blue Milk.. Always has :)

We have gone over this before but here it foes again.. Obviously I dont expect you to agree but us Old farts who grew up with the OT have some feelings about Anakin and how he was handled. Those that have issues with Anakin don't like that he was basically a cry baby in AOTC. That he did not ever get much of a chance to shine and be shown as "the best star piolet in the galaxy and a cunning warrior" Or even "a good friend" in the entire PT ( a little here and there but forced) . Then he goes evil in no time flat with which he kills children and unarmed aliens and then gets his but kicked by the first real Jedi he has to fight.

So yeah.. That is not the Vader or Anakin that we had been hearing about and seeing in the OT films and the SW lore books we had read.

Now I will be the first to admit that I never pictured Han dying at the hands of his son or Luke hiding on an island after a monumental failure. But Han was basically the same guy and Luke came around to being the same guy.

I really have no opinion on Carrie. Her age and past drug use deconstructed her all on its own.

I have no issues with the Death of Han.

I agree that they probably had to kill Han, because that is what Ford wanted and was probably even a condition of his return. But he didn't need to be a shiftless louse/deadbeat dad who returned to his old ways after a failed relationship with Leia. And he didn't need to be murdered by his own emo son.
