You guys are nuts the last 4 episode arc of the final season of clone wars was better then anything we have seen since the ot. That 2 hour arc blows away anything we we saw in the st under kk watch as well as the pt. I highly recommend that all star wars fans watch it. The rest of season wasnt that great so watch just the last 4 episodes. You get a duel of fates part 2 and will be very surprised by who actually started the resistance against palpatine. If we can get a live action movie of this arc itbwould be ****ing fantastic. I loved the end with vader finding one of his padawans sabers. Dave filoni fully understands the world of star wars its ****ing amazing. Even if you dont like dave i still really suggest you watch that final arc

Who said they didn?t like the last 4 episodes of TCW??

You thought the best episode was about the sister?s robot?

The final arc of The Clone Wars is some of the best animation story telling OF ALL TIME and content that rivals the best Star Wars has to offer.

I actually thought the sisters story was more interesting then the Bad Bunch story... That could be because Asoka was in it..

I enjoyed the last 4 episodes. I don?t know if I am ready to call it some of the best SW has to offer. I don?t remember much of it other then the saber duel and the final with Vader.

Again don?t get me wrong.. I liked it.

I think there is a chance people built it up to much before I got to see it.

I don't recall anyone saying that. Khev said he didn't care for the Season 5 episodes with Darth Maul and Savage Opress even though he loved Maul in the last season. Maybe OG misread Khev's post?

Why do people like Asoka so much?

It took me a while to warm up to her, but I think part of it was her introduction helped humanize Anakin's character, and it also allowed them to play his character off someone on a regular basis other than Obi-Wan. TCW did such a good job establishing their relationship that there seemed a tighter bond between Anakin and her than Anakin and Obi-Wan, such that when he turned to the Dark Side her feelings of loss/betrayal seemed more profound (& believable) than those of Obi-Wan.

Well put.

You thought the best episode was about the sister?s robot? That was CLEARLY a juvenile SJW Force is Female storyline???

That entire arc was the considered the worst by a clear majority.

You old timers don?t get modern Star Wars.

I said it was more about the art and scenery than the stories. So much of the clones story is their boring gung-ho GI Joe battles - and the Bad Batch was the utter worst that kind of story could offer. These will be the SJW heroes going forward - the misfit rejects, divergent from the established norms of their society, who are actually more like super heroes and thus better equipped than the norm. As soon as they appeared though, they struck me as too on the nose, too cliched.

The final story arc was a good one - I wrote final episode instead of final arc before - but throughout the first six seasons I wasn't much interested in the clones themselves. It's a series I watched completely, but many of the episodes were a chore to get through.

Modern Star Wars is also Solo, Rogue One and The Mandalorian, and they're an indication that the people behind them have a grasp of what Star Wars was originally like. Solo and The Mandalorian, in particular, feel like good old expanded universe novels - from a time when they were still close to the source itself.

I see...

Makes sense, since I never felt anything between Obi and Ani. Ironic that a cartoon would have more emotion.

They should have worked harder on Obi... but I guess he's such a cold fish that its hard to get any emotion out of him. That's why I wonder just how great a Kenobi movie would really be. He's a bit of a stiff.

Ironic that a cartoon would have more emotion.

That's what hit me about the final episode of the seventh season.

The Sequel Trilogy, on the contrary, was devoid of emotion because the characterisation was so poor - especially Kylo and the fake-feeling Kylo/Han relationship. Then there's Daisy's sometimes questionable acting, and Carrie's inability to put in a worthy performance, either due to the plastic surgery or drugs inhibiting her speech, or because she passed away too soon.

For its faults, the Clone Wars did sometimes find a way to tap into the emotional pull of Star Wars. As with live action, it's in the interaction between characters rather than the actual 'star wars' themselves.

What's this place coming to when a ****ing brilliant reference like this goes completely unacknowledged? This should have been quoted by at least 4 people by now, each of whom awards it a minimum of 3 :lol with a :rotfl mixed in

I'm totally unappreciated in my time.

Haha thanks a-dev, I thought that I had gone with a too obscure reference.

JP is ripe for quotes when talking about the ST. How many times have I said we need locking mechanisms on the OT canon.

Re Ahsoka, I was against her from the start because I felt she diluted Anakin's relationship with Obi-Wan. It was also weird she was such an important figure in Anakin's life but never mentioned in ROTS.

No argument there, but IMO the fault lies with the show's creators/writers. There was plenty of time over 7 seasons to have the Obi-Wan/Anakin relationship evolve from less mentor/pupil to more best friends and equals, but there always seemed to be a pecking order between them. Part of that could be due to GL boxing them in by having Anakin turn to the Dark Side at a relatively young age in ROTS. Perhaps if it had happened when he was older their friendship would have been easier to establish.

Is the Lucas Cut going to save TROS the same way that his final SE cuts saved the OT?

giphy.gif

I doubt anything can save TROS.

Maybe a tactical nuclear strike to save it from itself? :devil

Broom Boy can sweep up the pieces and ready the ground to build a new trilogy. After all, he was set up to represent the future.
