No its based on no sith having kids, in fact anakin was the first jedi to have kids "the forbiden Love". Palpatine didnt love anyone but himself the whole idea of that disfigured dude banging a chick is just ****ing insanity. Not to mention, if anything he was never shown to be attracted to women, which is why he never had a female apprentice. That has to mean something If were just going to base things on what we see in the movies, palps didnt even like women he liked boys and men which is why he gave anikan all those creepy pedophile looks

Found again on the internet.. It must be true :lol

This was just some SW EU geeks opinion.

The Sith code puts passion as the start of their power, so as you can imagine, a lot of Sith philosophy deals with acting on your desires, and sexual desires are no different. However, due to the nature of being a Sith, there was no need for love, more specifically attachment. The Sith did not like attachment, but not in the same way that the Jedi did, the Jedi feared attachment because losing what you were atached to would bring you to the dark side, the Sith did not like attachment since it could be used against you and could be considered a weakness in a society that encourages strength. As such, most Sith relationships focused on the fiery passion of the moment, and still had an air of distrust since either one would kill the other for more power should the opportunity arrive.

This is all true, Anakins love for padma led to attachment then possession but as the article says it gets the point where the sith no longer care about needs of the flesh they feed on power and power only. Thats what gets them off and part the reason why i like sith to begin with, they are pure evil and seek only to further their power. If disney wants to make them into Twilight type vampires then i am out. Just the whole idea of old ass palps ****ing some ***** during the OT ruins his character completely for me, but im not the only that feels this way.

This is so canon for me now. I don't care if you found this in a blog posted by Doomcock, it's canon! :lol :lol :lol

Jealous of what obi wan- no he felt betrayed by her at that point, like she picked obi wan's side over his. Now if you got back to ATOC there was a deleted scene showing him getting jealous and angry with rage. However that was well before he completely gave himself up to the darkside, the only lust sith have is for power, again sex is nothing to them, its insignificant. They get off only on power, when palpatine is shooting his lighting thats his orgasm, his sexual pleasure, they dont get pleasure anymore from the basic things of life its all in exerting their power. Before obi wan even showed him self in mustafar he had already lost padme, she say's anakin your scaring me, i dont know you anymore, please come back. I cant go down the path you want me to go. It was over them, he probably would have ended up killing her anyway even if Obi wan didnt show up, he was gone, his lust for power was all that consumed him, this is the way of the sith.

I can see your point about Obi Wan.. Funny I always thought if it as jealousy... He seems jealous earlier when she tells him he was at their place.. I guess I just took that with me in the other scene.

As for Vader being consumed by the Dark side and losing her before Obi Wan showed up and all that..

Then why does Vader say.. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I mean what is he upset about.. The first thing he asks is about Padme.

Nah.. I think your off about that one.

It does not say that.. It says they have no more use for love or attachment.. They don't like attachment as it could be used against them.

I use to know plenty of guys that were the same way.

For the record looking at a bunch of different threads about this stuff while looking for answers..

1. Nobody seems to agree with you about the Sith not being Sexual
2. There is evidence of a relationship in one of the Games (Knights of the Old Republic I think)
3. There is nothing officially written about it either way in the SW universe lore.

Cause he ****ed up and force choked her ass, he was concerned he killed her. When the emperor informed he did he ripped the stupid no it cant be i felt her. Of course he was upset anakin was duped into this by the emperor much like ben solo. Anakin disnt want to be sith he just wanted to save padme its ironic because he ended up killing her. Once anakin realized what happened he wanted to kill the emperor but he knew he couldnt because it only take one zap of lightning to fry his circuits and kill him. He was trapped so he resigned himself to the life. Seeing luke changed all of it he had a spark of hope again, and like padme said i know there is still good in him. He was not going to let his son die at the hands of the same ******* that tricked him into killing his friends and his own wife

Dude.. You got me so confused :lol

After the dark side overcame him you said all he wanted was power and would eventually kill her anyways because she would not go down that path..

So if she did go down that path then you are saying no Bang Bang for Vader cause he wouldn't want it?

If he was worried that he killed her then he must of never been fully consumed by the Sith but you said he was.. I am not being a wise guy here.. You have just gone down a path that I cant follow :lol

Where does it say the sith done like a good hankering.. If he gets off on evil are you trying to tell me every time the emperor does something evil he blows a load in his robe. :lol

:rotfl

McDiarmid's performance in the Mace duel is finally starting to make sense.

Ok sorry yes on mustafar he to far gone in sith mode, but after his fight with ben he woke up disoriented in that moment for a split second he was anakin again. He as like wtf is going on where is padme? Is she safe? Is she alright? Notice his voice when he speaks its not like normal vader. Then the emperor spoke and that nightmare became his reality. Thats why george added in the infamous “nooooo” to show that anakin had realized in that moment what had happened to him and what he had done

Ok I get all that.. I guess my way just saw that Vader wanted to rule the Galaxy with Padme at his side. Yes he almost killed her because he felt betrayed or jealous or both... Which happens in many crimes of passion..

The way I looked at it is just more simplified then yours.

Vader wants Padme to be with him
Padme rejects him
Obi Wan shows up and Vader feels betrayed and maybe jealous
Vader hurts Padme but his love for her does not allow him to kill her. Even though Obi Wan said sorry I dont see any reason for Vader to listen.
Vader wakes up and his love for Padme is still there.
Informed that he killed her and he has his moment of anger, regret and Hate.. Man there was a better way to sow all of that then having Vader scream "Nooooooooo". :lol

All of that is very Human.

I can see that point of view, thats basically what george showed us.
There is a very beautiful but tragic love story buried deep within Rots, its sort of ruined by gl, he was never good at love stories, but its in there. steven Spielberg cried after a private veiwing with george and some of his friends. The movie really benefits from reading the screenplay/storyboards which im sure speilberg did but sith was tasked with carrying too much story due to the failure of atoc. If it was handled properly, by a more capable director this could have been one for the ages. I still enjoyed it, its my guilty pleasure but it could have been way better than it was.

Agreed. There is a better movie to be told from that story for sure.

For Khev, Jye, and Buffinator

This guy has reviewed all the saber duels. I always enjoy them.. For the PT fans he refers to the parallels between this duel and the ROTS duel.

Martha in that world was the name of both of their mothers, and when batman saw clark, an alien, show true concern for his own mother, who happened to have the same name and was a human it snapped him out of it his blood lust. He saw clark for what he truely was just like him a person with true human emotions and concerns, which was the catalyst for bringing bruce back from his dark place. He realized in the moment he had become like the villains he was hunting.

Actually I put it down to Bruce finally seeing an opportunity for redemption after two decades of futile crimefighting. Saving Clark?s Martha would atone for not saving his own Martha, and he?d finally be free: ?Martha won?t die tonight.?

In a way she was a surrogate Martha!

I didn't find it funny - IMO it simply didn't track that Clark suddenly referred to her as "Martha" when she was always "Mom" to him. I know some argue that he did it purposely because he was aware of the coincidence, but IMO that seemed to be an after-the-fact "head canon" excuse as well.

Could it be he conditioned himself to call her Martha to others to protect his identity and her life?

p.s. - Let's not argue about BvS in this thread too! :lol

Okay I?ll stop now :D
