You obviosuly were either too young or not born to go to the theater while rotj was playing, it was a huge event, just as massive as when phantom menace released in 1999. The only difference is the people in the theater actually enjoyed jedi. Half the drunk theater was a sleep by the 1:30 am showing of phantom menace. When the movie started it was complete insanity at first, the people who werent past out made alot of noise but after 30 minutes all you heared were drunk people snoring and by the end of it that excitment had turned into complete silence and internal objection over what they had just witnessed. There was not massive applause like jedi it was just a bunch of bewlidered people who were let doen by gl who at that time was still thier idol, favorite film director.

Return of the jedi was way different people applauded at the end and everyone was talking about it as they walked out

If you omit the ewoks, a small part of the film its up there with the other two films, unless your a han fan it was his weakest arc of all of them- all he did was get jealous over his brother in law, then show up at the end to help fight with ewoks against stormtrooper invading endor but only after they nearly ate him for breakfast

My friend, I think you missed the joke. I was responding to Khev's pointing out that calling Episode IV (THE FIRST FILM!!) Return Of The Jedi would have confused the masses, because at that point in time NO ONE KNEW WTF A JEDI WAS. :lol

p.s. - I'm well aware how massive ROTJ was. I was 23 when it came out, and when the film started we were finishing off the pizza that we had delivered to us inside the theater. How about you?

Sorry if i miss-interrupted your post that way, i was only 7 years old when jedi came out. So maybe it had a different impact on you then it did me cause You were way older

Yep, I made the cut by a few years. Of course people my age never realized we were Boomers until the Gen Xers were christened. We're kind of like that middle child that doesn't quite fit in either group. :lol

You're name and profile pic are extremely misleading. I would imagine it is often assumed that you are a 30-something female:lol

My kids and I were fans of the show, plus I was into the Dark Horse comics run (that picked up where the show left off) when I first joined the forum, so that no doubt influenced my choices. The subverting expectations part was an unintended bonus. Never judge an online person by their profile picture / avatar! That said, if Wor-Gar isn't a dead ringer for Jack Nicholson I don't want to know! :lol

These days it seems like we all do, but it has nothing to do with how old we are...:(

I have the newest blu-ray with the awesome transfer and crappy sound, lol. Can't wait for the 4K. :yess:
.

Just for the record.... Not that it matters since you are getting the 4k but the blu Ray has the 2.0 mono.

Can?t believe u have been listening to it wrong all this time ;)

I wish Blitzway would make the three main characters of Jaws in 1/6 instead of dabbling in drug addled musicians. Jaws(yes you :lol) do you know of any copyright or likeness rights issues that would be a major problem?

Becca has a Brody and quint coming... No Hooper yet... Don?t know if that is because RD is still alive or coming in a second wave.

Neca is also making a Bruce for this scale. Figures are 8?

Not perfect but they are going in the collection.

I wonder if people think I look like a shark.

Lol. In all serious though i hope someday we get a prime 1 jaws statue of the end scene with the sinking boat the shark coming up to attack with the tank in his mouth, and brody hanging off the end of the ships mast aiming his rifle at the shark. I imagine the water part is tough to pull off it would have to predominantly be just the sharks head and mouth biting down on the tank with just the top part of its body exposed

If they can pull of Jurassic park dino’s they can do jaws

So the final scene wasn't filmed in Tunisia? I guess with modern FX there's no need, but it still woulda been a nice touch.
