If a person is happy with the end results nothing you or Daisy will ever say will matter whatsoever to that person.

But by all means continue patting yourself on the back lol

I will. :yess:

Great advice from the guy who pats the most backs here.

I never argued that TROS was planned from the beginning (it clearly wasn't but oh what an awesome audible to call on the last play of the game) but Colin Trevorrow's leaked script (that he himself confirmed was legit) proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that TLJ and Episode IX (Duel of the Fates) were indeed planned out before even Rogue One hit theaters. That's forethought that neither the OT nor the PT had. Forethought that obviously didn't pan out (due to Carrie's passing and fan backlash against TLJ) but that doesn't change the fact that it was indeed there.

Geezus. Literally pulled up the receipts and you deny your own words. :lol

Very, very, true.

But that's been the mind-numbing embarrassment of this thread; like what you like, but don't attack other people for not liking it. Don't cut off your nose to spike your face, trying endlessly to defend your stance/liking, without having any clue whatsoever of the truth; you didn't work on the film, so how could you possibly know.

Who gives a **** if anyone agrees with your opinion - did you write the film? No. What stake do you have in it, that you need to blindly defend it until your dying breath?

Anyone with half a brain/common sense/logic knew there wasn't a plan - but again, who gives a ****.

Like it. Love it. Enjoy watching it on repeat until your eyes bleed.

But this incessant need for people to ignorantly pick a side and dig the heels in, is an indictment of the current state of the human race.

Lame...

I can?t hear you all the way up on your high horse.

? According to Palpatine actor Ian McDiarmid, however, it was never Lucas? intention to resurrect the villainous character.?
?I thought I was dead!? McDiarmid told Digital Spy in a recent video interview. ?I thought he was dead. Because when we did ?Return of the Jedi,? and I was thrown down that chute to Galactic Hell, he was dead. And I said, ?Oh, does he come back?? And [George] said, ?No, he?s dead.? So I just accepted that. But then, of course, I didn?t know I was going to be doing the prequels, so in a sense he wasn?t dead, because we went back to revisit him when he was a young man. But I was totally surprised by this.?

Facts don?t matter to them.

I posted that too and they just twist it.

He meant Lucas' original idea for Palpatine in ROTJ silly. Obviously Lucas didn't have any idea at all for TROS, lol.

See what I mean SkywalkerOG? Just twists it.

Khev: It's such a misnomer to claim that the ST "had no plan." I'm surprised to see even you perpetuating that JAWS. [emoji6] They had a plan. They had the entire trilogy outlined with the endgame in sight before even RO hit theaters.

:lol:lol:lol

I am referring to the performance... but I think you know that... you are just playing dumb.

I didn?t know that. You said Palpatine (I think), not Ian.

Again.. Dodging the argument.. But that?s ok.

What argument am I dodging? lmao. I don?t run, I stand my ground and destroy the other?s side argument time after time.

Lol I just laugh at the back peddling now. The cast knew they did t have a plan and it?s absolutely hilarious. The two of them swore up and down this was done and set up perfectly. Now they have been proven wrong and it?s deny deny. They really wanted there ot to have a perfect set up so they made crap up to fit with this mess.

Yep Jye and Khev have lost all credibility now.

Yep Jye and Khev have lost all credibility now.

You won.

How could I ever live with myself knowing you hate KK and the ST, HOW!

Because of your opinion I now hate the ST.

Because of your opinion I now hate my own feelings on all movies.

Because of your opinion I will now only like things you like.

I fully agree with you ROTS is much better than ESB!

I fully agree with you Raiders of the Lost Ark is super BORING!

You are now my one true forum GOD!

Down with KHEV!

Long live aussiecock lol

Ok... You are forgiven ;). I was referring to what we see on screen from the performance.. I freaking love Palps in TPM. Ian plays him more like Jedi Palps. He is much more cold and calculated in that one and not so over the top like in ROTS and TROS.

What argument am I dodging? lmao. I don?t run, I stand my ground and destroy the other?s side argument time after time.[/QUOTE]

The fact that Toys Sell well means nothing about the quality of the movies.. That is where the argument lies.

I am fine if the ST becomes Universally hated.. I get it. Its why you don't get any "you are wrong about the ST and here is why arguments from me" But I can find some enjoyment out of it and really don't see a ton of difference between the PT and ST in terms of film making issues.

Like I have been saying.. Pick your poison.. Better world Building and a more coherent story but some very bad directing (not all) and some very bad acting (not all) vs Better acting and directing with a less then impressive structure and story (with some ideas that I like).

You can take one or the other.. Many take neither... I like to take both :)

I am a glutton for punishment when it comes to SW. :lol

Hush you!

Haven’t you learned you been schooled by Ducky d i c k!

Now bow to your new master fool!

Your punishment will be your name JAWS listed on the story group chalkboard squeezed between Diversity and Diversity.

ROTS > JAWS!

Filoni > JAWS/RAIDERS era Spielberg!

ROTJ Han > TROS Han!

Doomcock Momma > Yo Momma!

It's such a misnomer to claim that the ST "had no plan." I'm surprised to see even you perpetuating that JAWS. They had a plan. They had the entire trilogy outlined with the endgame in sight before even RO hit theaters. Colin Trevorrow's script dated November or December 2016 literally proves this. And Trevorrow himself confirmed on Twitter that the Duel of the Fates script (and all accompanying concept art also completed over a full year before even TLJ hit theaters) was indeed his.

The ST had a more unified plan than *both the OT and PT.* Do you think Lucas had a script for ROTS and concept art a year before AOTC hit theaters? Hell no. Do you think that ROTJ was written in 1979? HELL NO, lol. Disney/LFL did their due diligence and planned out the entire trilogy well in advance.

And that plan was to have TFA seem familiar with Snoke in the Emperor's role and Kylo in Darth Vader's role. Everything appeared the same but they were "going backward to go forward." And the "going forward" part was the huge twist that Snoke would not be the Emperor for very long and that the Darth Vader character (Kylo) was going to reign supreme this time around. However Disney saw how divisive TLJ was with the new ideas it was leaning into and called an audible with TROS. "Ditch the original plan. Go back to the familiar that audiences loved so much in TFA." And so they did. And the trilogy feels a bit disjointed due to the "course correction" but it isn't because they were making it all up as they were going. Far from it.

But ROTJ ditched the entire plan that George had with ESB so it's in good company. And TROS did a hell of a lot better of changing things at the last second than ROTJ did as well.

Interesting how you only picked the portion of his original post that supports your narrative.

Geezus. Literally pulled up the receipts and you deny your own words. :lol

Facts don?t matter to them.

Maybe you should have actually taken the time to read the ENTIRE post that you tracked down? He said there was a plan mapped out, but then clearly states that Disney didn't follow that plan with TROS due to their getting cold feet from TLJ's reception, making the trilogy feel disjointed as a result. If you did read all of it, exactly what part do you disagree with??

Lol I just laugh at the back peddling now. The cast knew they did t have a plan and it?s absolutely hilarious. The two of them swore up and down this was done and set up perfectly. Per the evidence provided above, no back pedaling required. I don't see any claim that the ST as seen on screen played out exactly as Disney planned it, which is what you're implying was stated.

Interesting how one could continue to deny when the truth is right there in black and white.

This is not something taken out of context. There are more posts in this thread such as these. I only quoted what was pertinent to the discussion at hand, which is that the ST never had a plan, and Kennedy is completely incompetent.

And yet what you did above is the textbook definition. :lol

Maybe there are other posts that support your case, but in this instance

Is not having a plan STILL A PLAN!

It is plainly obvious that their PLAN was to react and pivot based on ticket sales and fan feedback.

THAT IS A PLAN!

They had multiple scripts and contingency plans!

PLANS!

Life is all about competent people being given orders by incompetent people stop being jealous you are not one of the incompetent bosses.

I think Kennedy and the Disney higher ups knew that episode 9 was below standard from the start. Wasn’t it around the time it came out she did that interview where she said she had nothing to base the sequel trilogy on? Then Iger’s book comes out where he says he bought the franchise from Lucas on promises he didn’t keep? Then JJ said some fans would like it, and some fans wouldn’t. That he understood why. It seemed like they were making excuses about why TROS came out the way it did.

Part of me still wishes Rey turned out to be Vader who joined up with Luke and both killed the emperor then they ruled the galaxy like father and son just like Vader wanted in ESB but in a good way.

Just this time it is hottie Vader and son.

After watching this SW mess play out over the last few years, both on screen and on this forum...IT FEELS GOOD TO WIN!
