Seriously though.. Just watched some of Pod race and The Sound design in that scene is fantastc..

I would say most of the Sound effects in the PT are pretty great. The Coruscant chase, the gladiator pit creatures (especial the bull and the green creature) the Tank blasters, the goofy thing that Obi want rode.. etc.. I think they all sound great. Which very much helps with the world building. Something that Lucas is good at.

I am not dissing on the ST here but it is something that I think is lacking.. Though I did like the sound the Porgs made

That's Ben Burtt for you. I admit that the Stormtrooper blasters and Falcon cannons in TFA sounding different than the OT was pretty jarring for me. Thankfully RO recycled all the proper vintage sound effects.

Sound effects and music in PT is SW at its finest.

The ONLY song from the ST that matches that high quality is Rey’s theme especially the mix from TLJ trailer 2.

Kylo’s theme is cool but it’s just a few bars so doesn’t qualify.

I really like the Resistance theme as well. And I don't disqualify Kylo's theme for only being five notes since that's all Williams needed for Close Encounters.

Well he's the one who got banned so...

Either way, by 14 April this thread will be full of Zach's desperate attempts for attention and constant baiting, that's for sure.

He'll be back just in time to **** all over this thread when we hear about critics' reactions to the IW world premiere and then he'll just get banned again.

Aside from Zach and maybe that potato fool I've never wished permabans on anyone here.

There's the people who almost always love everything (jye and Khev) and then there's the folks who put on a show just to get a reaction out of people (ZaCHw117).

Not sure how I missed this and not sure if it was directed at me but if what you-know-who was doing was "satire" then I'm Queen Elizabeth. Even a mod agreed with me that that guy was a colossal ass.

Blame Zach.

Just be thankful that a certain someone isn't here to ***** all over everyone in this thread at the moment.

“The Spark” is also fantastic from TLJ, but the version of it in the movie pales alongside the trailer 2 version.

Yeah, it’s an amazing piece of music. Completely underused though.
It’s such a shame that there wasnt a proper *full* version of it on the album.

But it is there - second half of track 17. The trailer Mix wasn’t done by Williams by my guess.
It’s the best bit of Williams SW music in years. I love Rey’s theme as well obviously.

If you have a laptop, use Firefox and install the Adblock Plus extension, and boom - no more ads.

How anyone can use this site with the atrocious ads is a mystery to me.

Completely agree - that trailer music was superb and I was just waiting for it in the film. The only musical bit I enjoyed in the film was when holo Luke showed up and it went off on that very different note.

Rey’s theme from TFA is also great.. wish there was more of that.
