Those who dont agree with his point of view will be banned, dragged thru the streets and lynched by the khevettes. Just agree with whatver he says and you are all g, even when you disagree. You will be safe from his verbal spin zone and his ban hamma.. forget about george lucas he ruined star wars, if it wasnt for disney star wars would be dead. GL killed it with the special editions and prequel trilogy. Disney saved the IP from that monster creator, who cares if they changed it so much its no longer recognizable. rey is a disney princess dont talk **** about her. You just have to watch what you say when your around middle aged men that are obsessed with disney and their princesses lol

So because I personally have enjoyed the movies so far has put out that makes me a middle aged guy obsessed with Disney and their princesses? I not only enjoy the narrative the sequel trilogy has grown into (how dare they try and add anything to the mythos of old?) but as films they are competent, well acted, well written stories. That is not something you can say for Lucas's prequels. I watched them because they were Star Wars but they are not competently made films and the acting is terrible.

I am so tired of the philosophy that if somebody dares have a different opinion than you they obviously are wrong and shills for an IP or a company. Or worse yet: feminist supporters! *gasp!

I am enjoying the films so far. Solo was the weakest for me, but even that was a fun action adventure. Stop claiming that those of us who enjoy new Star Wars are just shills for Disney and princess loving shills. I like what I like, that doesn't make my opinion wrong or yours correct.

Im glad you like it, i wasn't making a blanket statement there about all fans being middle aged men, we all know that age group is not disneys target audience.. sorry if it came across that way.

For the record i actually like TFA, what i dont like is the notion that disney fixed star wars, without lucas star wars wouldnt ****ing exist. I really hope ep9 is good, but tlj killed much of that hope. Disney doesnt care about me im part of that past they want to let die, too kill if they have too. I had such high hopes for ep8 i really did. I had no issues with reys lightswitch powers, because i figured shed be connected to something greater, or at the very least they attempt to explain this power. Why did her powers only manifest after touching anakin/lukes lightsaber ( why did a skywalker saber call her to begin with, why not any other random saber,?) and at an age way past that of normal force sensitive individuals in movie canon.. and without training???. Why is she more powerful then the living force, ie lineage derived from it, aka skywalker.

The problem isnt that rey has force powers or that people other then skywalkers have them, the whole ****ing point of these movies up until ep8 has been that the skywalkers were the end all be all when it comes to the force. The reason obi wan said that boy was our last hope, isnt because he thought there were no other jedi around in hiding, its because luke was the last ****ing trained skywalker and only one who stood a chance against vader and the emperor. If your going to bring in a random chick with this much power, more then the skywalkers, who both required training to unleash thier powers you better ****ing explain it. If she is the new chosen one commit too it, dont just say her parents were 2 drunks who sold her for booze money and expect it too make sense
Lets not forget Anakin was created by the ****ing force, the skywalkers are the living embodiment of the force. Who the **** is rey and why is she what she is lol.. and while were at it, who the **** was snoke.? And why was he so easily punked by his ***** if he was so powerful?? Is it all one big joke or something..

I know where your coming from....BUT....

Consider this.

Obi Wan was wrong.

Yoda was wrong.

The Jedi Order created Vader.

Once you entertain these possibilities, something that granted, as children would could not fathom....the “WHY” you ask , is answered easily.

Luke was NOT the only/last hope. (Even Yoda knew this was false)

Luke actually saved Vader and the Galaxy precisely because he did not listen to both his teachers. They both wanted Luke to kill Vader, a path of which I am sure would have made him turn to the dark side (as the Emperor clearly tells him).

Obi and Yoda were so fearful that Luke would fail or worse, turn Sith, that they could not see the path of saving Anakin as the only viable option.

While you say that the Skywalker line was the “only ones” who were strong enough to become this powerful, but where is your proof? Because the Jedi order said so? As in real life things change .....and as fiction mimics life, things change there also....

We don’t know yet why Rey is so gifted, we didn’t know why Vader was so powerful for 3 and a 1/2 films!!! And then were given the lamest answer possible.....its in his blood......
Now you want to crucify Rey because....what? Shes powerful without a detailed explanation in a single film???? Why not apply that logic to Vader?? Reys powers may be given a very simple answer next film (a whole film earlier than Vader.

And while were are on that topic...why are Palpatine and Yoda so powerful? Where is the explanation for that? Midichlorians again? If thats the answer youll give, then you have the answer for Rey already....she has more little bugs in her blood than the Skywalkers did.....question answered.

Now you may want to hold onto the belief that no one has ever or will ever have more little bugs in their blood that a godly Skywalker.....but that does not mean the filmmakers think its not possible??

Well you got 3 more years of kat so you better strap in. Looks like no matter how much fans hated the movie they still said they did a good job. The men don’t matter anymore in this franchise. It’s a new era of women!

Because all men hated it? Last my girlfriend checked I am a man and I loved TLJ and I think Kennedy knows talent. Johnson paved the way for Abrams to not be constrained by his own storytelling and now I hope he doesn't go back and reverse the potential new places he could end the story on.
Some fans hated it. I get it. To say all fans hated it is not accurate. Good storytelling doesn't just give those fans who want the same thing over and over again what they want. If they are not free to take it in new directions and god forbid add new elements to the Force, why make new films?

Did t say all men hated it. But the majority do. I’m fine with them taking Star Wars in a different direction. I welcome it. I welcomed this movie after the meh TFA. I loved ROTS. I wanted a female Jedi and more female characters.

The problem I have is that these characters are boring and uninteresting. They have no memorable moments. They have no real bond to me. They feel hollow and just there. They suck imo. They don’t go through any pain or internal struggles . They just seem to be good at everything. Except Finn which is sad cause he seems like some lap dog for REy. Why they choose a black man to dedicate most his time chasing a white woman is beyond me. Idk I just don’t like it. I feel like every criticism is valid. They have a right to express there distaste for a franchise they loved.

Video dropped 4 hours ago. On the topic of the Postmodern deconstruction of Star Wars. The view is that the heroes journey is a decadent concept. There is no good or evil or objective truth. Morality is a social construct.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Guys you never going to convince the people who hate this film to their manly core that other people actually like it....

They clearly do not understand simple percent.

Almost all of the reviews from moviegoers show a 50/50 spread. If people think 50/50 is most or majority they do not understand math.

The passion people hate this film with is unnatural. Folk really believe that the film somehow destroyed them personally , which is a crazy notion. Its really was over the top , but so are many SW fans. You can easily tell an unhinged fan reading the “reviews” that give it a 1 or a 0......thats someone who has lost all objectivity and rationality.

Say what you want about characterizations or plot, but if your really objective, you couldnt give this film anything less than a 2-3 based on the filming , acting, and cinematography alone.
