My top 5 most anticipated movies for 2019 remain IW2/IX/LionKing/CaptMarvel/Godzilla2

Everything else comes after those and there are plenty in 2019!

Structurally BP is sound.

The tone, no problem.

Acting was solid.

The action was directed by a blind person.

Can you imagine if the rumors are true that Disney/JJ are handing over Luke’s arc to Hamill to 100% decide his own fate!

Just say that the Luke on the island was an imposter and that Crait Luke was the "real" Luke projecting in from somewhere else, lol. Island Luke was trying to suppress the projection in order to maintain his masquerade but wasn't strong enough and died in the process.

Or maybe Island Luke was a doppleganger that real Luke used the Force to create to lead the FO on a wild goose chase in case they came looking for him while he was off training some new Jedi to come back and kick their asses and he never anticipated that someone from the Resistance might go there instead.

Nope not making it up but where I get it from is similar to that so pretty reliable as rumors go.

I’m wrong about 80% of the time...make that 95%...ok 98%...so my track record is so so.

In all seriousness they can just have Luke return in the flesh "Gandalf the White" style and go from there. They don't need to retcon TLJ but by the same token TLJ doesn't have to be the final word either.

I am willing to embrace time travel, alternate realities, Zam Wessel, solar flares, and the evil-twin implications of facial hair if it means Luke didn’t die on a rock on Penguin Island, buying moments for a rebellion so stupid that they were equally distracted by his distraction.

I am willing to embrace time travel, alternate realities, Zam Wessel, solar flares, and the evil-twin implications of facial hair if it means Luke didn’t die on a rock on Penguin Island, buying moments for a rebellion so stupid that they were equally distracted by his distraction.

The FO was too stupid to realize that Evil Luke was distracting the Resistance long enough for them to storm the complex and they blew their big chance.

It's simple...

It was Yoda's force ghost, pretending to be Luke on Achoo, and projecting Luke on Crait. He then makes fake force projection Luke on Crait die so Kylo feels it in the force and is convinced into thinking Uncle Luke is dead...

Easy peasy....
