So now that strange darkside cave scene in TLJ may make a alot more sense. When rey looks to the crystal mirror in the cave she sees nothing but herself, then a bunch of rey's appear behind her. This wtf moment of all those rey's snaping in unison combined with this new sith rey reveal probably indicates she is a clone (one of many) by Emperor Palpatine in order to make the perfect sith for his essence to leach off of and possess.

He probably killed all the clones that did not live up to his standards except for two of them. The sith rey that we see in the trailer is Palpatines success, his new vessal for his essense, and the Rey we have followed thru the last 2 movies is still a jedi but she was saved by someone before palpatine could kill her, or someone that was supposed to kill her that changed sides (so palps think she is dead) which is why she was hidden on Jaaku much like luke was hidden on Tatoonie so the Emperor and Vader couldn't sense him. Lukes fear of Rey would also make sense because he felt something was off about her since she is a clone using even either some of Anakins or palps dna (most likely Anakin's).

The end battle will be Resistance Rey vs Darkside Palpatine Rey. Kylo will probably be killed by the dark side Rey that is possessed by Palpatine. It was probably Palpatine not snoke messing with Kylo's mind, because as far as Palpatine was concerned he was the only threat left to his master plan (since good Clone Rey had not revealed herself yet). Based on the movie Title its more probable that she is a clone using Anakin's DNA, which is where we get Rise of Skywalker title from. The fact that Luke says a thousand Generations of jedi live in you now also supports the clone theory of some sort, although Anakin wasn't around that long the training in the academy did use the old ways that had been around for 1000 years. She definitely didn't learn that from the tree or those books she stole haha

This would be a very poetic ending, considering that Palpatine Created Anakin using the force and that creation killed him, Palpatine creates clone rey and his second creation kills him. Guy never learns I guess, his overconfidence is always his weakness
That's quite interesting, and as had been said earlier, would lend a great deal of credence to her abilities. It all makes so much sense now, especially the cave scene. seriously, I think you really cracked the code.

After reading this, I may legitimately be disappointed with any other outcome.

I'm 100% with you on that part I bolded about Rey being a clone. I hated that GL retroactively turned Boba Fett into a clone, but to do it to the character who is supposed to be the generational main hero in this trilogy? That's beyond weak. If that's where this is going, then I guess I'll be quietly boarding the hate train in December.

But I have a hard time believing that they built Rey up to this point just to reveal that she has/had identical counterparts, and that when Kenobi was saying, "Rey, these are your first steps," he knew that he was addressing a clone of Palpatine's creation.

:lol

:lol @ jye

I think I have two make-or-break rules for SW: 1.) no key heroes being clones, and 2.) no time travel.

TROS would have to be utterly mind-blowing to overcome either of those.

So what changed your mind to remove Vampires and go from 3 rules down to 2 lol

I think she looks very emaciated, thin, almost a skeletal highlight to her face.....

Her saber is the unstable kind, like Kylo....

Here?s hoping this is not just some vision....cause thats just a lame thing to put in a teaser...

Just out of color preference, do regular force users ever simply choose a black robe over brown? Or a red saber over other colors?:dunno

I guess I only factor things that are plausible for SW. I'll leave the prospect of vampires to others who have made their way through here.

But, I can add crossovers with the universes of other Disney IP as my third rule (Khev's example a while back of E.T. in TPM notwithstanding).

After 30 seconds of footage? You literally have almost nothing to base that on.

Yeah, ok, just jump on that hatewagon.

Oh I’m well and truly on that mate, riding shotgun, especially after TFA and TLJ. Old JJ is going to have to pull of a god damn miracle for this movie to be half decent in light of the last two flicks and I don’t believe he has the storytelling skills to do it. But hey, at least we now have switchblade lightsabers...

Black Widow is wearing an all white jump suit costume in her solo movie lol

It's just funny that we assume a red saber means dark side, yet it's just a color, and a cool one at that. And just as many heroes wear black as bad guys.

But I guess it gets a bit like the "hoodie means criminal" debate - everybody protests with their hoodies on like it should be a normal thing, yet if you're followed at night by someone wearing a hoodie, you're suspicious. Not helped by Hollywood constantly putting bad guys in hoodies.:lol

:lol :lol :lol

Perfect choice

I don?t think TROS is going to turn this thread into a dumpster fire like TLJ did in its thread.

To me it looks like both sides of the aisle are pretty much exhausted arguing about fictional characters so discussions will probably be pretty tame overall.

I hope i?m wrong though lol

I highly doubt she is a clone nonetheless it?s pretty bizarre that they went and revealed that in a trailer so something else is going on there.

But if she is a clone that would not bother me either as i?ve always had an affinity towards Star Wars being attached to cloning ever since hearing Obi-Wan mutter those mysterious words when I was an impressionable 10 year old.

I wasn?t too thrilled with how the PT handled clones though.

My parents told me I had an identical twin who passed away so maybe i?m a clone lol

The recent comics explain the red blade can only be achieved by "bleeding" the kyber crystal, which only the darksiders do.

That's just how it's made though. Couldn't a darksider saber owner get hit by a bus and then you pick up his saber and use it though? It doesn't function by sucking bad vibes out of a darksider to function.

I mean Rey could have gotten it from some dead darksider and despite the intent, it doesn't mean she's evil simply because she's holding a red saber.

btw, you'd want to be a bit careful triggering that Swiss Army saber - that swing down could do some damage if you weren't paying attention.:lol
