A lot of people in this thread don't need to get "fixed" because reproduction was never in the cards for them anyway. Double snap!! :panic:

If I said that Snoopy would delete it like a ton of my recent posts...fact

Uh-oh, we got a fake news clean-up on aisle seven!:lol:slap

Dying laughing while watching interview after interview after interview where RJ and MH do NOTHING BUT discuss the same "backlash" questions... from a teeny-weeny-tiny backlash of 200 old neckbeards. Riiggght...

Yes... its all a global conspiracy about an "alleged" backlash - and no, I'm not the one who dreamed up "bots" and "weaponized RottenTomatoes.":rotfl

And... around here across the forum, it does indeed seem about 50/50 right down the middle, so if you need to see a doctor - maybe make it an ophthalmologist instead of the proctologist.

Don't you know? everyone loves these movies!! the "backlash" is just the work of Russian hackers

:lol

Nobody likes this movie. If you do, you have blinders on or are an idiot. (I'm sorry to say there's no easy way to put that)

It must be pretty easy to say because it's been going on almost daily. :lol

Sorry for your loss,
Blind Idiot #3

Love watching the damage control from Disney

If you DIDN'T like it you have blinders on or are an idiot...see how easy that was? Truthfully the biggest idiots I know are the ones who somehow cannot accept that other people have opinions that differ from their own...sooo...sorry there's no easy way to put THAT...

I already did a stint in the porn industry a very long time ago, behind the scenes of course.

Hey had to pay for school one way or another and I chose another lol

THAT needs its own thread.

I walked past a house in the Hollywood Hills one time where they were in the midst of filming a porn movie - looked like a day at the office for the crew. Funny.:lol

Glad you’re here you arrived just in time to witness the passing of the torch of Killmonger replacing Luke in the pantheon of cinematic legends as per Chakor.

Liquor up first before stepping into the BP thread lol

Killmonger's look did remind me of a third member of Milli Vanilli.:lol

The backlash is real. I just can't figure out why RJ still has his job when it took far less for all those other directors to get the axe!

You can tell Disney made Mark go out and rectify his earlier (true feeling) statements.

I dunno, in this recent pic of Hamill with Kathleen Kennedy on the Disney studio lot, you can almost sense something's not right somehow, but Mark DOES seem to genuinely like TLJ now, so really not sure.:dunno

It’s not even the 1.3 billion because look at Trevorrow.

Rian is an incredible professional simple as that.

What I don’t get is Hamill.

Disney needed him from day one.

Without him no ST.

Why would he then just roll over and accept their story and not demand his own script input for Luke.

The ST couldn’t exist without him.

Oh man, just watched the deleted scenes. The caretaker celebration scene is such a gem! I get why they cut it but it's got great moments for Luke, Rey, and Chewie and a goofy Ewok Village feel in the best possible way. :lol

Based on this interview he did in 2013 TFA and TLJ pretty much met all his demands:

He also says he thinks it's likely the new Star Wars movie will focus on the next generation of the Skywalker clan — something that's been rumored a few times, but still shouldn't be considered official:

"I'm assuming, because I haven't talked to the writers, that these movies would be about our offspring — like my character would be sort of in the Obi-Wan range [as] an influential character. … When I found out [while making the original trilogy] that ultimate good news/bad news joke – the good news is there's a real attractive, hot girl in the universe; the bad news is she's your sister – I thought, 'Well, I'm going to wind up like Sir Alec [Guinness]. I'm going to be a lonely old hermit living out in some kind of desert igloo with a couple of robots.'"

Finally, he discusses his hopes for the new movie's tone and feel, which includes a return to the original trilogy's use of practical effects:

"I said to George that I wanted to go back to the way it was, in the sense that ours was much more carefree and lighthearted and humorous – in my opinion, anyway. And another thing I'd want to make sure of is are we going to have the whole gang back? Is Carrie and Harrison and Billy Dee and Tony Daniels, everybody that's around from the original [returning]? I want to make sure that everybody's on board here, rather than just one...

I hope they find the right balance of CGI with practical effects. I love props, I love models, miniatures, matte paintings — I'm sort of old school. I think if you go too far in the direction of CGI it winds up looking like just a giant a video game, and that's unfortunate. … If they listen to me at all, it'll be, 'Lighten up and go retro with the way it looks.'"

He was prepared to be a lonely hermit as long as they added humor, practical effects and brought the old gang back. He got everything he wanted save for Billy Dee Williams.
