I'm actually a little surprised that Babu Frik hasn't caught more flak for looking and sounding just like a "Minion" from Despicable Me. I liked him but would have thought that more people would have jumped on any opportunity to criticize him.

If you look carefully at the First Order Star Destroyer crashing over Endor at the end of the film, it looks like someone pulled the "Holdo Maneuver" to bring it down.

Of course he will sound like a minion. He speaks a gibberish fake alien language. There is lots of things to criticize in these movies and that is not one of them. People on Twitter are all morons anyway.

So JJ supposedly wanted to break TROS into two movies, Disney said no, then he wanted it to be three hours like EG (a terrible idea for a SW movie), Disney said no. JJ wanted way more Rose, Disney said reduce her screen time, JJ wanted Finn and Poe to be an item, Disney said no. JJ wanted it to be clear that Leia's dying act was to project an image of Han Solo in front of her son, Disney said no you can have Han appear but make it ambiguous. JJ said no Reylo kiss, Disney said put it in.
Wow if all of that is true then I'm glad that Disney overruled him apparently even more than Gareth Edwards, lol.
EDIT: Also supposedly all this leaked out about him needing to be overruled to make a proper finale due to sour grapes about him taking the WB deal. I don't know what to believe, lol.
JJ can thank KK and RJ for his lack of creative control. Well that and his own reputation. For **** sake just put Favreau in charge and get it over with. They seem to have other solid talent to work along with him too.

Unless it's Klingon, 99% of sci-fi alien languages sound like minions. Lazy sound design, as should be expected from this movie.
Except that jawas don't. Ewoks don't. That "Teedo" guy on Jakku who netted BB-8 didn't. Neither did Keri Russell when she spoke to Babu in his own language.

If this part of the JJ-cut leak is true and JJ had to fight to have a Boyega as a lead, it proves my point that Lucasfilm and Disney execs are racists and it shows. Feel free to defend Disney on this ST apologists/fanboys.

I'll celebrate by immediately preordering the tubby Mandalorian heavy infantry HT figure if/when it happens.

The execs might not be, but much of the rest of the world is, China especially.
I don't think Favreau would ever take the reigns. He's not a suit. I think he likes just coming up with ideas and making them happen. I doubt he wants to be part of the nonsense behind the scenes and the constant "selling" to higher-ups and shareholders.

All you need to do is read the Sony Pictures e-mail hack and you'll quickly realize how racist/sexist they are and, don't forget, they move between studios like an STD moves between college students during Spring Break, so Disney/Lucasfilm is definitely infected.

He just seems like the right choice, especially post season 1 of The Mandalorian. It's clear he "gets" Star Wars. Disney has a lot of money and usually that gets things done. We will see...
