Most of the problems I have with TFA wouldn't be an issue if I had never seen a SW movie prior. Things I don't like such as Han and Leia having split, Han being back to smuggling and dying in that manner, Luke going into self exile after having failed with his nephew, the total copying of ANH plot beats . . . all those would disappear if TFA was my first SW movie. I still wouldn't care for the rathtar-related scenes and the mind-numbing stupidity behind the Starkiller magic death beam, but the rest of it would probably go over fine.

ST the trilogy without any memorable space battles!

The PT is just as guilty ZERO memorable ship battles!

Yeah, but the hypothetical situation was this: not having seen *any* other SW movies first. Without the built-in expectation of an epic space battle, it'd be less of a problem for the PT & ST movies on their own. But, it would elevate the RO experience, which is something I hadn't considered.

I actually did think it was cool watching that final shot of her with BB-8 in front of the suns and feeling like the Saga came full circle back to the Skywalker hero on Tatooine being a girl.

As interesting as it may be to see an image such as this, wow did the eventual character designs turn out a whole lot better.

I absolutely love McQuarrie though. Every once in awhile I like to have a couple drinks and page through the huge two book box set of his work. I also bought all three Sideshow McQuarrie statues and have the Kotobukiya Luke vs. Vader.

I think each ST film is individually better made and acted than the PT films, but as a trilogy, the PT works better.

I've really warmed up to the TROS space battle since my first viewing. It ain't RO or ROTJ but it's still a lot of fun.

Kylo did say shoot that piece of junk out of the sky in TLJ so him coming around to being shown the falcon by his dad would?ve been cool.
