Sorry Khev, but...

Obi-Wan > Luke X 100
*chuckles* To you maybe...but nah, I've got to give it to Luke. He's in almost all the best scenes of the OT and has a much cooler hero journey than Obi-Wan. Twin sunsets, swinging on a rope with Leia (twice!), the Death Star attack, riding a tauntaun, AT-AT battle, Dagobah training, Cloud City lightsaber duel, Rancor fight, speeder bikes, final attack on Vader during the DS II saber battle, Vader's funeral pyre, etc...Luke's the man. :)

Of course Luke has a better "heroes journey" than Obi-Wan. That's because he starts out as a whiney dweeb on Tatooine and ends up a less-dweebish Jedi by the end of ROTJ. :p Obi-Wan, on the other hand, is steadfast and perhaps the most consistent of all of the SW characters. He's a rock, yet wiley, crafty and always thinking.

In all seriousness, I do like Luke too (he's an icon)... but I will always prefer Mr. Kenobi.

To each his own, but I'll throw down the gauntlet with this sure-to-be jaw-dropper:

Even PT Obi-Wan > Luke

:monkey3

I've come in late to this thread, but I gotta say it :rock

Sweet! There's one about 1/2 mile from my office. I'll check them out tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads-up. :rock

Anyone have both of Vanderstelt's celebration prints? I want to know how they look together since they are different sizes and one is displayed horizontaly.

If you are talking about the Celebration IV ones, then I hate to say it, but basically ebay. These things were very tough to get at the convention. The "City in the Sky" print (limited to 200) was gone in the first hour or two of the show. Poof!

The "Laser Duel" and "Droids" (limited to 125) set was just super tough to get. They sold only 30 or so sets a day and they were gone every day about 1 minute after the doors opened. One of the most highly sought after items at the show for sure.

The price has pretty much taken off quickly on ebay for all of these. If you really want these... I wouldn't delay. Because once these few sets that were grabbed by flippers dry up.. .these are gonna completely disappear into collections for a long, long time!

I think it's the same one we're talking about (in Buckhead at the corner of Peachtree & Pharr?). My office is off of Piedmont about a 1/2 mile or so from there.

Ha! Off Piedmont in the direction of Oxford Comics, or Binders Art supplies.

my world is comic-art centric.

:D

Recently a couple auctions just sold the "Droids" print separately. They went for much more reasonable prices. Couple reasons for this. 1) Most people want a matching set of both prints 2) The Vader/Luke print is clearly the more popular of the two.

I think one "Droids" print went for as little as like $60! I would hop on a deal like that in one second flat if I were you.

One more framed.

I also got the mat ordered for the two McQuarie prints.

As much as I love Natalie Portman, you'd think I'd have this print. I can't really tell you why, but this just doesn't do anything for me.

I had a crush on her the moment I first saw her sans makeup in TPM, but the piece doesn't do anything for me either. I think it's the composition and the wavy flow of back images like a flag that throws me off, it's great images of her very well done, but the overall comp just doesn't draw me to have it. I'm amazed by some of the pieces still available at SWS, but at the prices, I guess it does make sense.
