Vader has no limit in my collection. This will be my 3rd Vader after the ANH and QS.

Never done this before, but I might order two: 1 reg and 1 special edition. I want to display him both ways.

Yep it's Battle damaged or go home. Otherwise it's just another Vader.

Do any of the new DX figures still come with the foam packaging or is it the standard plastic clamshell?

I guess the plastic clamshells saves Hot Toys money and helps their profit margins - probably reduces the size and weight of the packaging, thus saving on shipping expenses.

Definitely going to have to do some non-destructive weathering to that shoulder/chest armour. Looks terrible with massive damage to the breathing unit and helmet, then pristine armour in between. Should be possible with some weathering pastels which will take the shine off the chest armour at least.

I get it that they want the 2 versions here. But hate when Hot Toys does that. Endgame Iron Man was like that in some places.

But you'd think they would have highlighted a sculpt only picture without any helmet.

I've been pretty disciplined thus far with Vader - only bought 2 so far, the Hot Toys New Hope and one of the old SSC versions.

Probably a blank sculpt except the left side of the face, much like the ESB Sculpt that’s just the back of the head exposed

It will need to be openeable for access to the moveable eyes. So the dome will probably come off and the head will open at the back for access.

So it probably won't be a clean headsculpt useable by itself anyway.

Not that I would have displayed him like that anyway.

Never seen a reveal at this time before, what a lovely surprise!

The show might have been mediocre but the scene this is based on was straight fire. What a display it will make with Obi-Wan and lit up without having to bother with those crappy batteries.

Figure looks amazing but I’m tempted to hold out in case the rumors for Ahsoka are true and we get another Vader with a different looking armor. would be amazing if it looks anything like his Rebels or (fingers crossed) ROTS designs.

Wonder what the chances are of them ever making a real leather Vader figure a la the new Wolverine’s jacket, but I’m guessing they were only able to do it in the latter case due to smaller production
