the main reason that some people dont like the pod race is because of little anakin i bet :lol

Not me. It's the pacing. It totally slows the movie down.

All of TPM seemed slow to me. It had its iconic moments, though few and far between, but sadly it also featured the greatest amount of legal mumbo-jumbo in the entire series in an odd mix with more childish sequences (due purely to the fact that there was a child actor). I can handle one or the other, but both in the same film just struck me as strange. I didn't really know how to feel or what vibe to get out of the whole thing. AOTC and ROTS were big improvements, and of course every episode in the OT was great. It's just that one first chapter that I can't imagine wanting to watch again. I'd gladly replay the other five.

It's not even about Jar-Jar, although he does make things a tad worse than they already are.

I always thought that guy looked like Yukon Cornelius.

George: "Imagine you're riding around this beautiful field on a big tick. Annnnndd... ACTION!"

That was CG though--here's the funny part, if you listen to the commentary, they say that scene was one of the hardest if not the hardest in the whole movie, just trying to get a CG Anakin to look realistic on top of a physically impossible cow creature.

Hearing what actors have to say, George Lucas doesn't know how to direct actors. He doesn't understand. He doesn't relate to them. Add to that how he is surrounded by people who are too scared to say "no" and you have what he have and it is what it is.

He really shouldn't have directed the movies, or written them. He should have just come up with the concept and then handed it off someone else and just produced the films. He does much better that way. In the Making of Star Wars book he even notes that he hates writing and directing. He should just do what he enjoys, coming up with the concepts and editing.

CGI was so heavily used that Obi-Wan riding the dragon is only half of the actor, from waist down it's all CGI! :lol

The blu-ray 9 disc package is a great deal. Picture & sound is extremely well done. The bonus disc is worth the price of it.

However, this will be the last Star Wars movie I will ever buy from George Lucas & Fox. Just way too many re-releases on this license.
