Its for the money, baby. The money! The whole reason they are even written into the movies is to take your money!
That Disney money is calling their name.
Lets hope Ewan gets a trilogy

They may not like them... but they all want to come back and make more Star Wars movies. I think more so than a serious drama.
Yup, money. But James Mcavoy said it best. Those big movies keep you relevant and allow you as an actor to make the films and stories that you really want to make, the ones most people don't even watch. Those big films are like a safety net that you can get back to every 2 or 3 years.

Can't blame them though. This sums it up perfectly. They get to make major money then work on projects that have real meaning to them. Win-Win for the actors.
But its funny to hear them all basically say we make the crap -- the crap we all like here -- so they can make the stuff that really matters.
Basically they are saying their fans, and what sells, is crap and therefore the fans, and most people, eat crap.

Yeah, but it's not just about the money. It keeps them relevant...that's the real benefit of those films. They are good career moves, just look at Chris Hensworth, he doesn't have any hit films outside of Thor. If it wasn't for Thor and the Marvel films, he might not be working as much.
I'm ok with that. At the end of the day, it's Christian Bale who has to look at himself in the mirror dressed like Batman, not me. I'll just buy the doll...because there's a childhood connection with the character.
Ewan think some are more than crap
"The people I meet are the ******* who want me to sign Star Wars photos so they can sell them on the Internet or the people at premieres who are crushing children against barriers to get me to sign their ******* picture of Obi-Wan Kenobi. They're not fans—they're parasitical lowlifes and ******* ******."

Eddie Redmayne better do a superhero movie if he wants to continue making films like The Danish Girl.
My vote goes to Issac. He's the only one not making the rounds and he seems like he could be temperamental.
I don't think its that.
When people love something they keep interacting with it, instead of treating it as if they were never part of it.
Isn't being an actor all about attention?
When wealthy are bored with money they then seek fame, power or both.
You think someone like Harrison Ford is promoting this thing out of his love for the movies and from the bottom of his heart?.
I'm
The OT cast doesn't seem any more passionate than the cast of the PT cast.
Like ClownPrince stated, none of them like this ****. The actors I listed most certainly go to conventions and crap for the $$$. Can't say I blame them. You think someone like Harrison Ford is promoting this thing out of his love for the movies and from the bottom of his heart? C'mon man.
Is this another "Kylo is Luke" theory?
Bingo!
Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher have said negative/horrible things about the Original Trilogy. So did Alec Guinness in his prime (prime being alive of course)! How about Anthony Daniels? The dude is a huge prick, ripping cast members, ripping on Peter Mayhew and poor Kenny Baker, even talking **** on Lucas. Look at him now though, taking in all the spotlight and all smiles. Wonder why.
Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure I've seen Jake Lloyd sitting at similar tables/booths with the likes of Billy Dee and Carrie Fisher getting that autograph chump change.
Point is, the prequel actors just don't give a ****. They don't need to talk about anything. Doesn't mean they think it's those movies are bad or good nor are they happy or mad about them. I'm sure all the people involved with all 6 (soon to be 7) are sick of the Star Wars phenomenon and it's crazed fan base. Even Lucas gave up on all of it and washed his hands of the franchise, and he was the most passionate about the whole thing!
