If Poe is gay it shouldn't effect you one way or the other. It doesn't affect you in any way, other than forcing you dealing with the guilt of your biggotted or racist ways.

As far as Khev's question.... I don't think Poe is gay. I think if he was it is pushing political correctness way to far. I am annoyed that Rey yells two times at Finn to let go of her hand, which I am sure is just trying to show her as a strong independent women, just gets annoying when a movie has to throw in these issues. If it makes sense to have these things, sure, I don't care. I watch Empire and the main character is gay, makes the show interesting and has a dynamic to it, but Poe.... yeah, shouldn't happen. For a movie to go out of the way and say that, then show an on screen gay relationship.... I wonder how many parents would want there kids seeing two men kissing passionately in a Star Wars movie or even people without kids would want to see that..... not me.

I think the biggest blunt question is the potential marriage of Rey and Finn and there future kids.....Of course Disney will do episodes 10-12, assuming they are married..... they would have kids most likely. I just wonder if audiences would be comfortable with this. Let alone finding multiple biracial actors that could carry the franchise, could prove difficult.

I did like how the Falcon was like Excalibur, apparently sitting in plain site for years awaiting someone worthy enough to claim it.

Also TFA did seem to acknowledge the ANH:SE with the updated beeping that the Falcon targeting system made as Finn zeroed in on TIE's.

I thought that was very funny actually. I didn't take it as the movie beating us over the head with Rey's independence. I saw it as the film using Finn's desperate desire to have her be his partner on whatever adventure to comedic affect. Kind of like the girl pretending to trip so she could take Dr. Grant's hand in Jurassic Park.

Rey was clearly more capable than Finn prior to the hand holding which is what made it so amusing IMO.

I'm not expecting any new grounds to be broken with these new ones other than bragging rights for knocking Avatar off the # 1 spot, and that's ok, the new movie was "Star Warsy" enough for me.

I'm now with Khev on this one, i'm not going to get too caught up on helicopter shots and political factions.

I told you i've moved past my anger, the good parts have won me over, sue me.

That being said there is absolutely nothing wrong with discussing the bad parts.

Balance has been restored to the Force.

I wouldn't worry, Disney wants this to appeal to everybody and is unlikely to bring sexually taboo subject matter into the story. Besides, isn't C-3PO gay?

I can already see the Westboro Baptists picketing if that were to happen.

On a totally different subject, just read story that JJ Abrams read the Episode 8 script and says he genuinely regrets not taking the Director job for it, says the script is better than TFA. I realize they will paint the prettiest picture they can in regards to any Disney movies, but if true, could be very good news.
