We might yet still be surprised with BvS with Goyer out of the picture and with Snyder being Affleck's ***** and only being used for his visuals.

2016 just might be a great superhero movie year in general, not just BvS.

Haha!!! Freaks are going to actually enjoy something??? i highly doubt it :p

Going back to Disney the white slavers prostituting Star Wars (as if GL didn't do it, what a cooky hypocrite), I'm ok with it.

By keeping SW away for too long it builds up such an impossible anticipation that it's actually a miracle that TFA turned out as good as it did after the whole PT debacle.

I'll be comfortable with a new SW movie every week because now I can just relax and enjoy the good ones while not stressing over the bad ones.

..and there will be bad ones...no doubt

Agreed. I think Ant Man was fair at best but I can relax and still enjoy it because Civil War looks promising.

TFA was an OK Star Wars film. It didn't suck, it wasn't the wheel re-invented. It was OK. And there's another one this year. And the next. And different people bringing fresh ideas.

The PT had George and a stifled adherence to repeating the same mistakes again and again.

I wonder if Snoke is as powerful as or more powerful than Palpatine. Seems like the Force is stronger with the non human weilders like Yoda.

Are they going to tackle Thrawn as a character at all in any of the films, or is Hux supposed to be like him :dunno

He has to be more powerful. You can't make the new villain less powerful than the previous one. Look at the new hero and the new death star, both more powerful than the previous ones.

Did you see TFA a second time. I was with you after the first viewing but I liked it more the second time.
I'm waitin' for home release, don't want to waste time and $ on another dubbed viewing.
But I remember the film very well so it made its impact for sure. :lol

Ive posted this before, Snoke is probably going to be most powerful because he believes in using both the Dark and the Light Side of the force. He is training Kylo to use both.

there is no Thrawn. not part of the canon anymore.

Hard to tell, where was he during Palpatine's reign and how come he wasn't in charge instead of Palpatine for the empire. It's 30 years later, he could've been a Sith later than Palpatine

Kylo Ren very clearly states in a line: "I'm immune to the light" and wants to banish the allure of the light side. Which is how poor old Han helps him out. So this is categorically incorrect. He is not a sith but a powerful force in the dark side.

snoke isnt a Sith

Says who? Ren is not a sith, never read anything about Snoke's origins.

Maybe he was secretly in charge. Maybe he's the Thanos of this universe, working behind the scenes, and Palpatine was just a puppet.

:exactly:

So many questions I have walking out of TFA

Some top answers I want for Episode VIII

1. Why did Luke disappear for 30 years? Did he know about the F.O.?
2. Snoke
3. Why isn't Kylo fully trained after 30 years
4. Who is Rey's mother?

I know there are speculations right now, but didn't Lucas say that the EU doesn't exist anymore, so it's interesting to see what they have in stored for this new chapter

How old is the SW lore supposed to be anyway. I was shocked that if it is set after 30 years, the film still begun with.. " a long Time Ago..." :panic:

Granted this stuff is coming from the novel, so its not 100% known it will be used in the movies. So i'll just let you guys talk what you want to talk about. There really is no way of knowing anything until the other movies come out. They are just things i've read and trying to interpret. From what it sounds to me Snoke has created his own Order, and that its going to be different than the Sith or a modified version of the Sith.

I thought it was odd if this is a galaxy far, far away and they use language like parcets , did anyone think it was odd that Finn mentioned the " Sun " and he also said " Water..Water"

I think they never mentioned real terms in any of the SW films
