McQuarrie:
“I think Artoo was just described as a small robot. I thought of him as running on a giant ball bearing — just a sphere, a circle, wheel-like. He had gyros so he could go in any direction on this ball.”

Not too hard to see where BB8 came from?

Sounds like McQuarrie was simply describing his drawing:

That picture does indeed show R2 "running on a giant ball bearing." But BB-8 WAS a giant ball bearing with a free standing head on top. Big difference as the end result is a completely different shape.

If your whole point is that JJ used some of McQuarrie's concepts as inspiration just like George Lucas well yeah, I don't know that anyone has ever claimed differently. But BB-8 as he appeared on screen was never drawn or described by McQuarrie and his final design isn't anything that can be attributed to Lucas.

Well then, if Disney has banned all PT characters/concepts/environments, they can go **** themselves over and over and over and over again until all that is left is a great big ******* hole to there brain where one can shove the PT movies through there ass and into there brain so that they remember the PT.

There it is.

At this point the PT is 1000x better then that garbage TFA. And to whomever said Lucas has a lack of detail...your crazy.

Maybe the best evidence of Rey not being a Skywalker is her lack of self-pity in the face of extraordinary power and good fortune.
