No matter how good episode 7 is, no Star Wars movie will every take the place of my first Star Wars experience of watching episode 4 on the big screen in 77! I still consider Empire Strikes Back the best of all 6 but episode 4 will always be special to me.

Yep, I was 7 when ANH hit theaters.... great time to be a kid.

Supposedly this is from the trailer. And it's supposed to drop next week.

:lolAt first I thought those were clouds in the falcon Gif, but it's a lens flare. It's my opinion that this footage is legit JJ has a hard on for lens flare. :panic:

What? No. Plenty of people had it. How old are you? You don't remember AOL or AIM and Napster? Everyone I went to school with was on AIM.

38. Yeah i remember all that. I was out of school so maybe school's were getting it at the time, but NOBODY i knew had internet till like 2000 earliest and it was shyyt dial up.:dunno

Anyways, point is not a lot of people were on the net looking for SW prequel spoilers at the time compared to today. (that didn't get big till AOTC)

UPDATE 3!

/Film has even more rumored details about the release date of TFA teaser trailer:
I have independently confirmed with good sources that the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer will be shown in a limited number of theaters during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. I know that there will be a limited amount of theaters participating in the “preview.” I have not confirmed any more details other than that.

Also here’s another interesting story from yesterday that we first decided not to post, but now it makes more sense:

The Cantina member Darth Matt first reported yesterday a very interesting rumor posted on reddit. It’s yet another possible release date for TFA teaser trailer.

Here’s a screen capture of the actual post (the post has been deleted since). Thanks again to Darth Matt for saving it down.
(click the screencaps for bigger version)

Later the same user revealed where he got his info from:

Also Drath Matt made some more digging and found out that someone else has claimed something similar earlier today:

Later another reddit member who claims to be a corporate employee of the largest chains in the US added this debunk message:

As you can see it’s really a tricky situation. So many rumors and so many possibilities. The best thing is that no matter what, we will most likely see the teaser in the next 3 weeks.

I really hope that gif is not legit, like Jye said, it's on video game level. :lol

I'm sure I'm not the average person, but I remember there being plenty of people online discussing what might and might not happen with Episode one. Hell, that's the same year that the Internet was given the credit for making "The Blair Witch Project" such a big hit. So, there were plenty of people online at the time.

That gif as been confirmed as fake. Pretty lame anyway.

Source? Curious.

My point was in relation to now. Now it's a whole other animal. Shyyt moves at lightning speed now, as compared to back then. (Twitter,FB, more online etc.)

So this is on topic

No doubt. Not sure (in this country, at least) if the saturation point could get much higher. Now it just needs to get faster.

Thanks for all the Episode 7 tidbits.

It's confirmed fake both SWU and Making Star Wars have people on the inside that say trailer has been screened to some but that gif is mega fake. And trailer is coming VERY VERY SOON.
