Let's see...

The last two films (2003 and 2012, huge gap there) Kasdan wrote, directed and produced were critical failures and box-office flops.

Struzan did awesome posters for SWPT, which were miles better than what was shown for this film.

Williams wrote music for SWPT and it was glorious, but didn't help those who hate PT in general.

But HEY! Maybe I'm missing something in between the lines, right?

Actually if you just read the lines, you stated two people did awesome work very recently and one hasn't (and he only has four Oscar nominations). You have to read between the lines to find something to complain about. Nothing like seeing the forest for the termites!

Like everyone else I also played Shadows of the Empire on the N64. :lol

I remember it taking days for me to beat Boba Fett and Slave 1. I finally got it to about 10% health one day and I had to pause my N64 for about 12 hours to go to some family party and came back and beat him. One of my biggest gaming accomplishments:lol

TPM was a good soundtrack overall but I have to say I only like certain themes from the AOTC and ROTS scores. The rest of those scores was pretty generic filler, interchangeable with anything else Williams has done for the past 15 years.

I agree about Attack of The Clones. But Revenge of the Sith had a glorious soundtrack IMO. As good as the OT. And there are layers and layers of new material in there. Really unusual stuff for Williams as well.

Exactly.

Straight Outta Coruscant
The funny thing is you'd totally expect something like that from Lucas approved comic book or animated stuff. :lol

I love both TPM's and RotS's soundtracks. I loved AotC when it first came out but soon realized how little original content it contained and how much filler was in it. I like Across the Stars obviously and that dark and dreary music you hear throughout. Can't even name a scene when it plays but I can hear it and I like it. It's dark, foreboding, and mysterious.

As unexcited as I am for this new Star Wars, I think I'll pick up the actual CD the day it's released. Hopefully JJ will make sure there's no track entitled "Han's Noble End" or "Han's Funeral" for all your sakes. Personally I have clicked every spoiler tag in this thread.
