It's been forever since I've played a video game, I need something to come along and really grab my interest. Arkham Asylum 2 is my most looked forward to game. I may have to take a few days off work to play that one. :lol

Me too, I played a few hours of Read Dead Redemption and just got bored with it. Been playing Peace Walker off and on here and there, but ultimately nothing really appeals to me right now. It's either a sign of just really crappy games or me growing up. And realizing that wasting so many hours of the day on a game is dumb.

The latter is sorta my problem. Not so much growing up as not having enough time in the day (as a result of growing up, I miss college) for free time and games are a bit lower on my what I want to do today list.

Yes, but it ha to do with growing up, you have less and less time for recreational things among life. I'm not so much right because I have no kids nor own a house, I live with my girlfriend in an apartment and marriage most likely within the next year.

Lately I'm much more into reading than gaming...lol.

In an article posted a few pages back, they said the lightsaber will act as a lightsaber in TFU2 instead of like a blunt object.

I highly doubt it will act like a real lightsaber from the films.

And you know what, its hard to argue the case for it to do so.

In the movies, a lightsaber can burn through everything. Any physical matter that gets in contact with is immediatly destroyed. Therefore theoretically any enemy should go down with a single hit, regardless of who they are. Its kind to have any challenge in a game when even the biggest boss could be taken down with one hit.

And it extends farther than that. A lightsaber should be able to destroy all non living matter too. Need to get through a door thats locked? Just slice through the door. Electrofence blocking your way? Just cut around it. Need to escape from some facility? Just cut your way out.

Uh I think what they mean by acting like a "real" lightsaber rather than it knocking a Stormtrooper 15 feet away like a baseballbat like in the first TFU, it will "cut" through them and feel more like how a lightsaber should like in other SW games.

If it doesnt dismember any enemy at all with the first cut, then it isnt cutting like a real lightsaber.

See it doesn't need to perform exactly like a lightsaber with me. I' m thinking like you do a small combo on a storm trooper and at the end of said combo his head flies off or something. I dunno. I would just like it if i felt like I could cut things with it.

I'm fine with a few inconsistencies for game play's sake

It's my understanding that this is being dealt with by the sheer number of enimies you'll be facing, to balance out the instant kill factor. Besides that, yes, given enough time a lightsaber CAN cut through anything, but as we even saw in ( shudder) the phantom menace, you don't allways have the time.

We are growing up! :clap

Let's bond. lol.

let's hope stan lee never "grows up"… or chris nolan… or peter jackson… or steve jobs…

besides, in order to fully qualify a statement such as "we are growing up", it must be done so outside of a toy forum.

But what about the one on one boss fights?

These aren't toys. Toys are cheap things you buy for kids to break.

Collectibles are hundreds if not thousands of dollars. I mean, I'm sure Peter Jackson, Steve Jobs, and Chris Nolan are very "grown up", just because one makes movies about Hobbits, the other about Batman, and one likes computers means they aren't adult enough?

Anyway, this is one of the few games that have me still semi-interested lately. Though I didn't think the first was worth anything over $30, hopefully this one will have a better production value, and more content to it.

not a very mature reply.

Not sure. Giant robots. sheild generators, massive machines. the list is pretty long. if you follow the eu closely, there are MANY things that give a lightsaber pause, they are still very formidabnle, but there ARE things that can stop them. just NOT stormtrooper armor.

Considering that Nolan hates the general idea of super heroes with powers, or more than one super hero existing in the world at a time, I'd say he's pretty well grown up.

That said, He's doing GREAT with batman. it's just a shame that we will never see Nolans Batman ( which likely means NO batman) in the Justice League movie.

This. And even in EP3, Grevious' Magna Guards had electo staffs made of phrik alloy capable of blocking lightsabe attacks.
