and by the way... why all of the "exclusive" BS with this title? why put demands on the consumer in this way? i used to think that downloadable extra content was the future, but as an update... not at the initial sale. it's becoming like buying a car... what options for this game would you like? extra levels? extra characters?

many developers are exploiting what should be an exciting addition and reducing it to a confusing hassle.

Exclusive Maulkiller pack, available through pre-order from GameStop:

* Exclusive Character: Maulkiller - In the cloning facilities of Kamino, Darth Vader created a warrior of unparalleled strength and power by combining the genetic material of Darth Maul, former apprentice of Sith Lord Darth Sidious, with his own apprentice, Starkiller. The resulting aberrant clone possessed traits from both warriors, but the crude fusion of two disparate Force users quickly produced physical and mental instabilities that led to the unfortunate clones destruction. For a brief time he struck fear into the hearts of all who faced him, even Lord Vader himself.
* Exclusive Maulkiller Silver Saber Crystal The perfect compliment to Maulkiller's appearance, the silver crystal make his dual lightsabers look like an extension of the silver Zabrac styled tattoos that cover his body and face. This powerful crystal allows Maulkiller to consume less Force Energy so he can devastate his enemies.

Two Exclusive Challenge Levels, available through pre-order from Amazon

* Exclusive Challenge: The Mystical Swamps of Dagobah - Explore the mystical swamps of Dagobah in this exclusive challenge. The setting for this challenge is an abstract version of the Dagobah level in the game. Yoda is testing your skills with this dreamlike space. Use Force Grip to lift objects out of the swampy depths of the surface of Dagobah and use them to navigate to your goal. The faster you can do this the more your rewards will be. Beware! Danger lurks just below the smoky surface of the water. The stone pillars you Force Grip and lift out of the murky waters arent stable and can collapse at any time, the water is toxic too wait too long on a platform and suffer the consequences.
* Exclusive Challenge: Defend "The Core" - Defend "The Core" by using all your Force Powers and expertise with the lightsaber for as long as you can. Survive for more than 1 minute to complete the challenge. Mastering this challenge could take much longer. Score bonuses are awarded for surviving for longer and killing enemies with impunity.

we all know that this will be available soon enough for everyone through a download... and at a cost...

i am beginning to miss the days when buying a game meant getting the WHOLE game.

Brother I hear that :goodpost:

Can I volunteer to be the new Lucasarts President??? NO MORE CRAPPY CLONE WARS GAMES!!!

BATTLEFRONT III RIGHT NOW!!!

KOTOR III IN DEVLOPMENT RIGHT NOW!!!

BOUNTY HUNTER II w/ Boba this time, while you're at it pres:wink1:

Now that would be a cool game! I liked the first one except for the weak story...but imagine something like that with Boba's story and next gen mechanics!

I'll see what I can do!

I hear you.
I am really tired of all this.I understand WHY this happens but it is still annoying. I remember with Marvel Ultimate Alliance, if you bought it at Target you got the Daredevil code. A code for a character EVERYONE will get, you just got him first because you purchased at Target. Why not do that again?

I would just be happy if the lightsaber actually acts as it is supposed to, and isnt reduced to a glowing baseball bat.

:yess: I would like it if limbs flew. wouldn't even necessitate blood, as the wound would be cauterized.

Did you ever use saber realistic combat in JKII???

It did exactly that, although it was so realistic that simply holding the lightsaber and running into someone would result in their limbs or head going flying...not good if that someone is Luke Skywalker...:horror

Hopefully TOR is a step in the right direction, although if Lucasarts wants to succeed they should take a note from Blizzard, who listen to their fans! I don't even play WoW and I know that.:nana:

Haha I don't need it to be super "realistic" or anything I just don't wanna feel like I'm playing baseball with storm troopers.

Lol yeah. That was one of my biggest gripes about the first TFU was a lightbasball bat. Have you played any of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games Bio? Highly reccomended. They have a very OT feel to them.

ooh yeah, I have. But it's been ages. I think the last time I played em was before the PS2 came out, I still have the PS1 version of the first one lying around here somewhere. I have no idea where my Dark forces 2 is though (my old PC games have long since been lost). Those were some fun games...meeemories.

It's been forever since I've played a video game, I need something to come along and really grab my interest. Arkham Asylum 2 is my most looked forward to game. I may have to take a few days off work to play that one. :lol
